  1. It should be operated similar to cricket and American football whereby the manager on the sidelines has a couple of challenges per half, which are retained if successful.
  2. Apologies, I read it in a different way, linking it to your criticism of taking Sibley off at ht.🙄
  3. I suggest that you actually watch these games, before commenting about why players shouldn't have been taken off. Sibley and now, Fornah were taken off for good reason.
  4. Some on here seem loathe to give our players any credit for a victory, it's either the worst team we've played this season or only defensive errors let us score or bad luck for the opposition. Both our goals come from excellent runs to the byline with, for a change and what I've asked for previously, intelligent hard low crosses or pull backs rather than a chipped cross which is easily defended. What about their goal which was scored as a result of a crazy challenge from one of our players? They created nothing apart from the one chance that hit the inside of the post, whereas Bird and Sibley could have done better with their chances and Cashin had a couple of headers which needed a bit more on them.
  5. I think that saying that CM beat Bradley in the air for the goal is slightly harsh. We set up wrong to defend the free kick, Hourihane seemed to be marking CM and Bradley and Cash seemed to be marking the space behind. Surely with his height, Bradley should be in front of the first striker, which would mean that the free kick would have to go well over his head, taking out any players just behind him.
  6. I don't that he's just watching, who else kept that ball out when it hit the inside of our post and I reckon that there was some supernatural help to allow NML's weak shot straight at the keeper and defender, to go straight through them and into the net. Hopefully B4 is up there and able to influence our luck more than he ever could down here. God bless him.
  7. Agreed, Sheff Wed had the league done and dusted in January last season, but didn't receive the trophy for winning the league for some reason.🤔
  8. Nathan Frazer from wolves u21s wouldn't be a bad shout for a loan. 18 year old powerfully built striker, who scores with both feet and headers, being quite dominant in the air. The type of player that we need.
  9. According to the club website. we'll be drawn against one of Liverpool u21, Forest u21, Port Vale or Fleetwood.
  10. Maybe the club could have a maybe 7x5 or 10x8 sized photo/poster of loved ones who have passed, hung on the wall of the concourse by where they used to sit. They could be pinned up about 10 ft high where they can't be interfered with. Our loved ones will always be looking down on us pre match and at half time. It would also add a bit of colour and character to a fairly sterile area.
  11. Referring to my previous post, has it done untold damage to the dirties, red dogs, Sunderland and Ipswich or was it just part of their rebuilding?
  12. For those saying that we should walk this league, how many other 'big' clubs have been in lg1 and straight away walked the league. The dirties, red dogs, Sunderland, Sheff Wed and Ipswich have all struggled to get back into the Championship and none of them have had to start from ground zero and work under severe restrictions like Derby.
  13. Was that after they found the Egyptians player's nose 20 yards away on the touchline? 🤔😁
  14. This punishment of Everton shows up a massive flaw in the Premier League's rules. They have given Everton a 10 point penalty for making too high losses, but they welcome with open arms the likes of QPR, Villa, Bournemouth, etc, who all made illegal losses in the championship, in order to gain promotion to the Premier. Why aren't these clubs hit with points penalties either in the Premier or on return to the Championship?
  15. Yes, just like QPR when they got promoted at our expense.😡
  16. EXCUSE ME!!!!, I'm stair 41 of the 'lower tier'.😁
  17. Yes there are 2 types of yellow cards when thinking about substitutions which is what we're discussing. No1 player commits a deliberate foul to prevent a dangerous attack building up, he's fully in control of his actions by assessing the situation is worth getting a yellow card for and because his actions are so measured, he's unlikely to risk another card. No2 player lungs through the back of a defender who is facing his own corner flag about 10 yards away and relieves the pressure on the defending team by giving the foul away and getting a card. He has shown that he is out of control in a non stressful situation. Question: 2 players both on a yellow card, which would you substitute? Unquestionably, Sibo is one of the most talented players at our club and can comfortably score with either foot, but you have to make judgement calls how players are playing on the day and whether they're likely to change the game, when you take them off. Many times over the years, I seen our star players having an awful game and need to be pulled off, quite often the managers haven't been brave enough to do it. It seems that all managers have their favourites, who are rarely substituted or dropped. Sometimes, it's quite amusing when a sub is waiting to come on to replace a player, then that player scores and the manager has to change his mind.
  18. Assuming your constant refusal to say that you have actually watched the game, you can't possibly compare the cards issued for Wilson and Sibo. Also, you can't be in a position to comment on the decision to substitute a particular player, as you don't even know how he has played, he could be Messi but if he's having a rubbish game, he needs to be pulled off. It appears that you're just having a go at Warne, in this particular instance, simply because you have an agenda against him. He's made plenty of mistakes for you to criticise, without you making up reasons.
  19. So, you're original criticism of the first substitution was based on nothing but a goal assist in the first few minutes and you have no knowledge of the player's contribution after then? Warne can be judged to have made plenty of mistakes, but shouldn't be criticised by people with no knowledge of what they're going on about. However, it was disappointing that youngsters weren't given game time towards the end when the game appeared lost, although didn't the first game also appear lost? He couldn't have made a substitution in injury time because we'd used our 3 substitution windows by only doing one at a time, a few minutes apart. That's a criticism from me, we seem to poorly manage our 3 transfer windows by not utilising the half time break and just making single substitutions a few minutes apart.
  20. This is another anti-Warne diatribe, what do you base your latest criticism of him on? Is it his choice to substitute a player who although set up our goal, maybe didn't do enough otherwise, in Warne's opinion? Did you watch the whole game or did you base this player's performance on one contribution, that you'd heard about? If you watched the whole game and felt that the player was unfairly 'pulled off', fair enough. I refuse to criticise players publicly but, personally, I understood the substitution in in this instance, having suffered watching the whole game.
  21. Maybe someone can adjust the number 8 before it's fixed to the shirt, by cutting vertically on the left hand side of the 8 and taking out the upper and lower bulges. You'd be left with a vertical straight edge on the left side. Maybe someone could go to the club shop with a pair of scissors and do it for them, if they can't do it?
  22. Too true, many times I complain about individual players performances, but only in private with close friends, I never put it in the public domain as I can't see any positive in doing so, but I can see plenty of negatives. Yes, I know it's a forum and that's the place to air our views, but some of the negativity towards some of our players, can only do harm to the overall team spirit. Even the supporters can get affected by it, if you're constantly reading how rubbish xxxx is playing, you can't but help to scrutinise his play more. I've seen it time and again over the years, whereby a fans' favourite will make mistakes and get away with it, but a 'booboy' gets hammered after his first mistake. Confidence plays a major part in any sport, including football, the media and social media can play a big part in destroying a player and/or team's confidence.
  23. His all round performance was even more impressive, when you take into account his very early yellow card. He could have either lost his head and got a second yellow or just drift out of the game altogether in order to avoid a second yellow. But, with no senior replacement on the bench, he took responsibility and got stuck in and had one of his best games for the club.
  24. But on this occasion, I think that the break will allow some players a bit more time to get over their injuries. Some not fit enough to play next Saturday may be ok 7 days afterwards, we seen to have quite a few on the treatment table, ATM.
