  1. Is there no end to the destruction of innocent lives? You had a lucky escape but probably some dietary changes to lower cholesterol. How many more have to die though?
  2. The dynamics of the coaching team. I remember there was coaching by committee for a couple of games after Cocu fell on his sword - and it didn't work, so the went with Rooney as head with LR senior coach.
  3. Disappointed with England, slipped Liverpool out of a title, managed Rangers before realising management wasn't his thing and moving to Saudi. And one penalty shootout where the Liverpool keeper was off his line every time and not called for it (that Liverpool fans never shut up about). But he did play a fair number of games I guess?
  4. We're playing in it so might as well try to win it. It's a low key competition so I'm not majorly arsed either way.
  5. Well, the part where sonny Bradley is responsible for 159 deaths does concern me if I'm brutally honest. I really feel like that should've been discussed when he signed.
  6. Job done but "making hard work of it" I think just is a characteristic of this team. Still, on we go.
  7. There's something of the quietly brilliant about him
  8. It's slightly off topic but also food for thought, from the "cautionary tales" podcast about human nature and the unwillingness to change a plan: https://podcasts.google.com/feed/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cub21ueWNvbnRlbnQuY29tL2QvcGxheWxpc3QvZTczYzk5OGUtNmU2MC00MzJmLTg2MTAtYWUyMTAxNDBjNWIxL2MwYWU4YzZlLTIyZjAtNGU5Yi1hYzFjLWFlMzkwMDM3YWM1My83ZjVhNDcxNC02YjEwLTRjY2YtYTQyNC1hZTM5MDAzN2FjNzAvcG9kY2FzdC5yc3M/episode/NDM5ZThlZjEtY2IxOS00NzM2LWI0MjYtYjBkZjAxMTdmMTFi?ep=14
  9. Lovely little play by bird and cool finish
  10. Everyone associated with Fleetwood who passed away in the last year.
  11. I just assumed someone on the staff was secret Geordie?
  12. I certainly hope someone makes Max break swaet a bit, and I think we are all pretty sure it ain't gonna be Checo who does that (I think Marko's probably hanging up "Welcome back Danny" bunting around Perez's office already). Ferrari, Merc, McLaren possibly Aston Martin fighting for race wins would be ideal, I'd like Lando to get a win on the board, I'd Like Leclerc to have a proper run at the title, I want the last great title fight from Lewis, I'd love Fernando to giving it some firewoks. WRC might be interesting this year as class of the field Kalle Rovanpera is only doing part time drives this year (won it tiwce, board, wanted some time to have fun in his 20s), giving a real title chance to Welshman Elvyn Evans (Toyota) against the top two Hyundai drivers Thierry Neuville and Ott Tanak. I just wish WRC was easier to follow without paying for streaming service, I think highlights are on ITV4 but the seem to buried in the schedule some time way after the event. (you think F1 23 was bad, WRC had never ending bloke named Seb winning everything......) MotoGP looks set to be ducati dominated, but it's a case of which Ducati and how will Marc Marquez get on after leaving Honda and hopefully not being crippled by injuries. I am looking forward to seeing how WEC develops, just as WRC's new set of regs backfired with still only Toyota, Ford and Hyundai fielding top class cars, WEC's hypercar regulations have been manner from heaven with Toyota now having real competition for the first time many many years. There's also american motorsport, and whilst I've never been into NASCAR, the IMSA serires is quite good and Indicar is an interesting counterpoint to F1.
  13. They're bringing back the baseball ground vibes apparently.
  14. Whilst it is the winter of motorsports, what with it being winter, i guess, the first signs of the return of driving round in circles are starting to gather. Formula E actually starts next weekend, although i think it's no longer free to air in the UK. The World Rally Championship starts at the end of January wit the world famous Monte Carlo Rally And of course there will be the triumph of vacuous empty F1 content that is car launches through February https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/when-is-f1-and-every-other-motorsport-series-starting-in-2024/10562526/
  15. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67887975 Apparently this went down about as well as you'd think.
  16. Fleetwood 1-2 Derby Wilson "I said we played well and lost against Peterborough and I say we played badly and won today" said Paul Warne.
  17. Perhaps the authorities could get inventive with forest: Every game forest win at the city ground results in a 3 point deduction. Every game forest win away results in a 3 point deduction and 3 points awarded to the home team to help them overcome the disappointment of losing to forest. 1 point deducted for each player seen with a forest crest on their shirt. 1 point deduction for each incident of failing to lose a match. I think innovation in persecuting football clubs has really dropped off over the last year or two and they need to up their game.
  18. I just hope they don't retrospectively change/clarify something forest did is now wrong, that'd be really terrible. Terribly funny anyway.
  19. I heard a rumour that we've had our annual mid-winter dip and it's going to be nothing but good times until may.
  20. I think you're over egging that, it wasn't a play-off level squad the year before and been weakened further. A squad that should've stayed up with no drama I'll give you.
  21. And are cheap, available and with a hunger to play in league 1 for DCFC. Ten a penny, mate. 👍
  22. Oh well. On balance I'd say Peterborough have been the better side this game. I'm not going to grump about what's been a really good run that dragged us into the top 2 conversation.
  23. Oh dear. Was always on the cards. Still, plenty of time for a winner.
