  1. No way is this finishing 1-1 (Kiss of death.......) Both sides capable of scoring and both sides capable of conceded.
  2. They remind me of "us" in some past seasons, capable of skilled attacking and young and exciting, but, I think an experienced team can get them undone.
  3. We'll get back on top as long as we ride this spell out.
  4. I know Collins got the goal but up until then he'd done nothing. Warne out etc 😁
  5. Derby 3-0 Posh Collins FRGS "I'm delighted with how we approached the game and I couldn't be happier for collo who worked so hard to get his goals today"
  6. Agree with all of that, The only bit of advice I'd add is, it's often worth avoiding the very cheapest single malt offering from the main brands, and getting the "next one up the range" - I only say that not because any of them are bad, but because the step up in quality is remarkable and the entry level bottles are usually no better than the "store brand single malt" bottle that's usually a bit cheaper. For a malt recommendation I'd say Highland Park 12yo is a great bottle. For not peatie malt, Old Pultney 12yo.
  7. I'd generally agree, malt is usually a better choice, but some blends are better than others and some are maybe more enjoyable than bottom end single malts. Isle of Skye 8yo is better than bog standard bells/grouse etc. Jonnie walker black label is nice(good pick up if on offer but I wouldn't recommend it as a premium), and more expensive JWs nicer still, but you're getting into "could buy a nice malt for that" price. Lidl do a blended malt called"arbrachen" that used to be good but the packaging has changed so I suspect the blend has changed. For "alternative to a good bottle of single malt" I can hand on heart say anything from Compass Box, but they're not usually in off license and never in supermarkets.
  8. When the highly stoppable force of notts forests meets the notably movable object of man u's shittness. Still, out with old and in with the new, it will soon be a new year and I've every faith in the forest new years resolution to rediscover thier crappness, to work at being bad again, to really make an effort in the race to the championship.
  9. I'd have thought you'd have some ideas before hand on what you'd like to do? It's the adapting that to what's actually happening that's the tricky bit.
  10. I don't think anyone likes being around me when I'm watching or listening....I'm frequently banished, the dog alwys huffs off giving me a stinking look....I used to be able to blame it Craig Rammage, then on Ed Dawes, but there comes a point where you have to consider that the real problem is a high pitched whining on the comms. So, go on, fess up, which poster sits nearest the commentators? Own up!
  11. Just on Warne's interviews, it strikes me that he's never really had to deal with fans whodidn't feel connected to him and his team. Given his personna where it's pretty easy to read him like a book and he's not giving just "manager answers", you're getting what Paul Warne thinks at that moment, it's something he's going to have to learn to just be a bi more reserved about, it's not like he's having a massive go at fans so much as coming off a bit defensive and "it's unfair, we worked really hard at this".
  12. It's part of the toolkit for every team, some do it more, some do it less. It's just limiting to use it as your main attacking tool, however, if you're good at it, you can get some joy, especially in league 1. It's if it's your only ploy that things can get sticky as all the other teams know it and you no longer have to be good, you have to be absolutly elite at it for it to succeed as your offense. All things in moderation.....
  13. It might drive me to drink (more)! Tonight I'm a blend called "Isle of Skye" which is one of the best inexpensive blended scotch brands and you can actually taste the Talisker in it.
  14. Warne out. now. I just can't take all this winning. It's too much. The hoping. The optimism. The clawing happiness. We've only just had christmas.
  15. So only a semi-fury bollocking, I hope they all buy fozzy a mug
  16. Been out running a couple of errands...so, it's not gone well?
  17. It's a bit dull.....company that doesn't do anything now is disolved. I expected a bit more from our beloved friend, how does this send the chilling message to the football world that the sinister tentacles of Derby County are still active in spreading their dastardly influence upon the pure and virtuous world of football finances?
  18. I sort of characterise this team as effective if not particularly lovable. It's a direct comparison but think how George Burley's play off team is remembered pretty glowingly, despite failing whilst Billy Davies promotion side was more effective, achieved promotion (and it was Billy's PNE side did for Derby that time) but doesn't have the same fondness. But then, as a latecomer to fandom in general, idiakez was the first genuinely special player I watch play for us.
