  1. We're still here on this thread, that's loyalty, that's commitment, that's..
  2. You're one of our coaches, aren't you?
  3. Perhaps mistakes have been made in his coaching. He likes to tackle, is just clumsy at it, so instead of training his tackling and passing ability and thereby making him suitable for the flat midfield, he's been told to be less aggressive.
  4. Maybe it shows that Sibley is ineffective in the AMC role?
  5. It's gotta have a groove to make me move. Heard a progressive jazz piece on the radio, the alt sax player hitting all the notes, showing off his finger skill, but no swing, no groove, no point, so this went on the stereo instead. Better for the digestion too.
  6. Saw him against Reading. As well as scoring two goals, Bartley was very solid defensively, my man of the match.
  7. Their center of operations is not in South America or Oceania. Go figure.
  8. ISIS never attack Israel or their interests, during Syrian conflict their members received medical aid from Israel, some claim that the name ISIS is an in our face dark joke, that it stands for Israeli Secret Intelligence Service. Terror bombing in Iran claimed by Islamic State, huh, no surprise there. USA policy is the enemy of my enemy is my friend, until I stab him in the back. “To be an enemy of America can be dangerous, but to be a friend is fatal.” - Henry Kissinger Except for Israel of course, one might surmise.
  9. Cashin is a remarkably good central defender for his age. He has quite a few years of improvement ahead, yet already reads the game well, is strong, tackles well and has impressive long passing ability, a rarity in that position. There is considerable potential there and so if he is sold it can only be for big money.
  10. Daniel is traveling tonight on a plane. Good luck and God speed dear boy, you have karma to spare. We remember you fondly as we allow you to move on.
  11. We recently moved to a small town of 1.300 people. Such a change from (big city) Reykjavík, one being there are no bangs every 20 seconds since 9 AM, in fact hardly any. I miss that. I purchased a few fireworks, okay a lot of fireworks and I was originally planning to set them off in our backyard, but somehow @David came to my explosive mind and his incessant moaning about toy dog owners and their tragic toy dog soul shattering fireworks plights which then reminded me of the fact that our next door neighbor keeps a Yorkshire terrier. So, the public square will host my fireworks show. (it's a few dozen meters down the road) and I thank you David, you are helping turning me into a more considerate human being and lessening the risk of me becoming an early outcast from this quiet town.
  12. Kicking off the New Year in style, Derby County 3 - Peterborough 1 Cashin
  13. Great result tonight, real resilience to come back from two down and win it. Believe we might have what it takes to go straight up this time.
  14. Have you been stewing over my post from December 23 all Christmas? I hope not, but that you had a very merry time of it, this season of goodwill and decency toward one another. To clarify and hopefully ease your mind, I did not deny that Russia invaded Ukraine, just stated that the war did not start at that time, for the Minks agreement was never adhered to and civilians in the Russian speaking eastern districts continued to come under attacks.
  15. Cashin for me. The central defender position usually takes a long time to gain proficiency at, as shown by defenders peaking late. Of the two central positions, the left is the more difficult one to fill IMO. Cashin is young, homegrown and is improving steadily as the season goes on. Won't surprise me if he wins player of the season.
  16. Follow me, follow me. That's good, that's good.
  17. How is Christmas exactly like your job? You do all the work and some fat guy in a suit gets all the credit.
