I was going to say I didn't think he played on Friday. 

I think that is Jack Bates who played against Belper United and Matlock Town. Not a first-year scholar so I assume he’s a trialist. Think he may have played on trial for us back-end of last season as well.

He moved up to Manchester with the rest of the family when Lee signed for Man Utd so effectively wanted to pay for his local club

First time I'd heard of Simons. Goal scoring midfielder, signed from Torquay. Was also on trial at Chelsea earlier in the year (and scored).
 
Elsewhere, True Grant is a 1st year scholar at Man City. A goalkeeper signed from us in 2019. https://www.dcfc.co.uk/news/2018/03/academy-life-episode-one-tru-grant
