  1. I think it’s less about which players fit a certain formation at this stage (we don’t know what formation PW will play yet) but it could be more about the players with certain attributes. Particularly important will be those players with physical attributes. Knight will be a big player, probably Smith too when he’s fit. Collins could thrive with a slightly more direct style.

A midfield 2 of Bird and Hourihane are not likely to be seen very often, as neither has the likely energy wanted.

  2. I agree with @Carnero if his play right now is in a team that is unbeaten in 7 and only has 1 defeat, imagine how much better it will get when he starts scoring.

From where we were a month and a half ago, I’m very happy with Collins as our number 9. If another player is bought in to rotate, fine. But McGoldrick isn’t that player, he needs to be playing as the number 10 to allow him to play his game. Right now, Collins is plenty for me. Just got to believe one will go in soon

  3. Issue with premier inn is they overbook it, or at least did last season. Unless you can arrive 2 hours before kickoff, you will find all the spaces taken and people parking on the  grass verges. It’s a shame, as was a good spot but seems to have become popular. Maybe it’s sold out which means they are starting to limit spaces…

Folk seem keen to play Smith at RB, but as far as I can see, he's only played 18 times in that position, and never more than 5 times in a season. He's not exactly made the position his own, and currently doesn't seem to have the energy required to play there for 90 minutes.

I can understand the eagerness to see Knight play in his best position, but we need to be careful that we aren't just moving the problem around.

The thing is, it’s because Smith has played there before. Knight, before this season, has been a versatile young player who has played predominantly in the centre of the park or wide right. He hasn’t been a right back at any point. He’s such a good player with all the attributes to shine at a number of positions, so he’s held his own at tight back. But he would be better in his main positions.

I’m not sure playing Smith there is the answer, but neither is Knight long term (as it wastes him there). Need a first team RB and then neither have to play there (hopefully)

    Thor. (Love and Thunder)

An absolute riot of colour, one-liners and slightly bizarre storylines.

Went with the kids...thankfully as I couldn't face the missus drooling over Chris Hemsworth for 100mins. Even I kept thinking, surely he can't actually be that perfectly hewn out of what appears to be solid muscle....it must be cgi.

Full of so many famous actors it must have cost an absolute fortune to make.

A lot of stuff thrown at the wall (almost like one of the Lego movies) with the whole vibe pretty tongue in cheek and lots of throwaway stuff coupled with a bombastic rock soundtrack that i enjoyed.

A world away from the Dark Knight sensibilities, but the kids enjoyed it nevertheless.  7.5/10.

I wasn't going to go & watch this. I enjoyed the first couple of films but really didn't like it when he suddenly became "wise-cracking Thor" for Ragnarok - presumably following the comedic success of Guardians of the Galaxy.

Yesterday, Mrs Wolfie set up a play date for me (I wish she wouldn't do that) with the dad of one of my daughter's friends, so I suppose I'll have to go now.

The issue is that they’ve gone from wise-cracking Thor to almost idiotic man child. I’m a Marvel fan, and really liked Thor Ragnarok. This feels like more of the same, with similar story beats, and humour mixed with a darker side thanks to the bad guy.

However, it almost feels like a spoof at times. I like Taika Watiti but feel they have him free reign and it didn’t quite land. Like all of the MCU in Phase 4 so far, it also lacked some direction.

    I can’t decide if it’s 5 or 7.5 out of 10. So let’s got for 6.25/10
