  1. How could he have known what the “attendance” was in advance then? As it was, I was say it was pretty accurate but he couldn’t have known that when he said the attendance “will be”.
  2. This from DD proves beyond doubt then that they do include season ticket sales in the attendance regardless of whether they attend or not unless he meant to say "should" rather than "will".
  3. Mmm. Not sure why that would appeal to you. 😀
  4. An ineffective way of protesting will have caused her and most likely her family some big problems. ☹️
  5. Towards the end of last season I went to a big game at Tamworth (I know, glory hunter 😀) as Derby were away and Tamworth is just about walking distance. I’ve been trying to find another this season (after getting promoted last season Tamworth are now sitting well clear at the top of the NL North so, glory hunter x 2).
  6. I doubt it. Surely there will be more at Sunderland.
  7. Very true. Nearly as much as a bit of controversy or a long list of potential Scottish players as targets for the summer.
  8. Whether it’s a “huge” blow or not is surely dependent on the result. If, by 5pm, we have won the game by a single goal having played very defensively then I’ll be quite happy. I’ve repeated a couple of times now what PW said “neither team will want to lose but both will play to win” and I think he’s right. It might be a slightly more defensive set up (which may be disappointing but possibly prudent) by both teams but today is about getting a result not putting on a show.
  9. Is he still going on the suggestions thread? I’ve put him on ignore in order to take breath. 😀
  10. Obviously it’s an important game but I wouldn’t say the losers are facing the play offs in the face just yet. Also, whoever loses, it may not be because they “choked in a critical moment”.
  11. I think it will be a very cagey affair with both teams approaching the game with some caution recognising the threats the other team poses and, as PW says, it’s a game neither team will want to lose but both will try to win.
  12. Did I say I hadn't heard of him? As it is I hadn't but my point is, if he's that good then I would have though more established Championship teams (or lower end Prem league teams) would be showing an interest. It was you that plucked the Ipswich out of thin air. I couldn't care less what your nationality is. I was just trying to reduce the risk of you being mocked or picked up for some of your harder to understand posts. But hey ho. As I say, it really doesn't bother me if you'd rather not say.
  13. I look forward to it. I'm struggling to see how a "miner" working on solving mathematical problems (is that what they do?) are able to harness wasted electricity and subsequently make it available for remote communities. It's all a mystery to me. In my ignorance it seems that cryptocurrency mining is not much more than just a game that doesn't create anything tangible. I don't understand why it takes so much energy to undertake such mining. I appreciate it must just be missing something. My head hurts.
  14. Did I say I didn't believe that we are going up? I suggested we'll either be a league one team next season or one trying to find it's feet in the Championship. If a player has realistic ambitions of playing in the Premier League any time soon, and is attracting interest from clubs with real potential of reaching that level (if they're not there already) in the short term, then we have to face facts that Derby are unlikely to be on their radar. The city and our history will be irrelevant to such individuals. No offence intended and, it doesn't matter if it isn't but, is English your first language? No one says sour plums. I only ask because it will help us cut you a little more slack regarding the way you communicate.
  15. I don't know what PCA stands for but I assume it relates to the fact that his current contract expires in June. If he really is good enough to have a market value of 6 million euros I can't really see him joining a club that will either be in league 1 next season or finding their feet in the Championship.
  16. Market value of 6 million euros, even if remotely accurate, is way beyond our likely budget.
  17. It’s a tough call. Is it better to keep Pompey in the fight (but at the same time strengthen Posh’s chances) thus making it a 5 horse race for two places or, would it be preferable to let Pompey go and make it 3 (or 4) for the remaining place? Luckily, it’s not as if it’s a decision we need to make or if we can influence results elsewhere. Whilst tomorrow’s results are important they won’t be decisive. Nobody will be either nailed on for promotion or ruled out regardless of how it looks at 5pm tomorrow.
  18. Wow. There are a few contradictions and changes of mind in that short post. 😀
  19. Interesting subject. Are you able to share any examples and are the environmental benefits of these projects anywhere near the environmental costs of Bitcoin? Do these projects only happen because of the existence of Bitcoin or could they, should someone have the inclination, be delivered without Bitcoin? Genuine questions.
  20. I'll drink to that. 😀 I know, the spelling isn't the same so the joke doesn't quite work but it's the best I can do.
  21. I think the theory is that it doesn't have to be deliberate. If a defender crosses behind the attacker close enough that you accidentally clip his foot and causes him to trip over then it’s a foul.
  22. I get that they will be confident, as should we be but, I reckon it sounds like an element of bravado if they're VERY confident. They will no doubt be feeling good after Tuesday but are they forgetting that they've only won one out of their last 6 away games? Hopefully you'll be able to go into work on Monday with a big smug smile on your face.
  23. Unfortunately, I expect Bolton are feeling exactly the same (except for the COYR’ bit of course 😀). I suspect it will be calm and focused (as neither team will want to lose) but I’m not sure there will be many opportunities to be clinical for either side. Assuming there are no silly decisions by the officials (I wish), I think it will be a very tight game ending in either a draw or a win by a goal difference of only 1 to either side. Hopefully I’m wrong and we’ll see a repeat of the Barnsley at home score line all those months ago.
