  1. Can't disagree with any of that, a pretty fair assessment. The only comment I'd make is that yes, Wilson did handball it on one occasion. It wasn't deliberate but his arm was in an unnatural position so it probably should have been given. However, it wasn't a significant incident. As you say, no one was around him and it wasn't in a particularly dangerous part of the pitch. So, it doesn't really cancel out the freekick that should have been given leading up to the goal (I don't know if that's what you're implying given you mention the two incidents in the same paragraph). Having said that, we still had enough to time to deal with your attack that led to the goal so I'm not sure it can be attributed solely to this referee error.
  2. Nearly but not quite. They're only 3 points outside of the playoffs with 7 game to play and a relatively easy run in. I'm sure they will be going for the win but I'd imagine they'd be reasonably happy with a draw.
  3. It should have been a foul but we still had enough time (and players back) to deal with the situation. Bradley was very soft with his tackle and Cashin was in no man’s land. We can’t blame our defeat solely on a single incident that should have been dealt with. Also we still had well over an hour to make amends.
  4. Maybe it’s true maybe it’s not. We’ll probably really never know but it’s quite convenient for Russia if this individual is claiming he was offered money by someone connected to Ukraine (if that’s part of the claim). If I was in custody in Russia it wouldn’t take much for me to agree to say what they wanted me to. It isn’t how ISIS operate but it would also be a massive PR failure by Ukraine if they were behind the attack. Why would they want to kill innocent civilians and do anything that might strengthen the resolve of the Russian people resulting in more support for Putin? I guess the argument could be that they wanted to bring the conflict closer to home for the Russian population and cause more of them to call for an end but I don’t see it personally.
  5. Where is all this money we are supposed to have spent that they couldn't afford.
  6. Once again, travesty is probably the wrong word. It implies we were hard done by which we weren't.
  7. It must have been a significant amount of money in order tempt someone to commit an act of terrorism in a country like Russia where the chances of getting out alive and escaping would have been close to zero. They would also have known that, even if they got away from the scene of the attack, the fate that would await them if they got caught would be somewhat less than pleasant.
  8. I’m not sure you’ve got the definition of “supporters” quite right there.
  9. Perhaps you need to set some new, negative, objectives for the Blackpool game and the team/manager might fail all of those as well. 😀
  10. The only way that would work is if clubs were only allowed to make up for any shortfall in net profit by way of a non-repayable (except as a result of a sale of the club) investment by the owners. Isn’t that essentially how P&S rules work in leagues 1 and 2? Certain types of owner injection of funds can be included in revenue? You can’t have rich owners boosting the revenue of a club by way of a loan for which repayment can be demanded. In fact, isn’t the amount each club is allowed to lose each year already limited by the fact that a large proportion needs to be covered by a “secure” injection of funds from the owner? FFP rules may not prevent clubs getting into financial trouble simply because they literally allow them to make significant losses each year.
  11. The player I think is the most one footed (not literally of course) is Nyambe. If the opposition manager does his home work it can cause a problem. Having a player that is equally comfortable with either foot is a rare luxury.
  12. You mean like the 21 he has scored in his career? Perhaps age is catching up with him but I think I’d trust him from the penalty spot.
  13. I retract what I said about Blackpool not being as good away from home. I’ve just realised that they have won three of their last five away games including at the mighty Northampton and at Peterborough. ☹️
  14. I think we probably only need four wins but that doesn’t fill me with much more confidence. One thing is petty much certain, the first one needs to come on Friday.
  15. Playing Friday night should be a breeze as the Blackpool players will be at the Pleasure Beach celebrating a walk over if we don’t turn up for the 3pm kick off. 😀
  16. I said pretty much the same to a friend on messenger last night. Four wins SHOULD do it but it’s hard to be especially confident where four wins will come from. Blackpool aren’t as good away from home as they are at home but could still prove tricky. Same applies for Orient. Carlisle is obviously the one that stands out as the most winnable. Where will the away win come? Most likely at Cambridge. I could see us nicking a point at Pompey and maybe at Wycombe but not much more. This isn’t just a knee jerk reaction to yesterday’s defeat. I felt the same before the game but was a little more confident as I saw Northampton as one of those four wins. I said a while back that it might well come down to who has the least games in which they drop unexpected points. We dropped three yesterday (based on what I was expecting not how we played). We might need the chasing pack to return the favour.
  17. Possibly no one but he was brought in until Wash, Waggy and Collins were back and up to speed.
  18. For no particular reason I see us nicking a point at Pompey.
  19. You seem to be forgetting. It’s not the players fault but ENTIRELY down to Warne and his tactics. 😉
  20. OK. Have your way. The players did absolutely nothing wrong and can put any poor defending, missed passes, failure to create and convert any chances etc. entirely down to Warne. I don’t agree with throwing players under the bus but I find it bizarre to suggest they were completely blameless for today’s poor performance.
  21. To be fair, some people want to fire the manager even when we win and find ourselves in second place. 😀
  22. I agree there is no reason to overreact, s##t happens. But I can’t help but feel you’re overlooking the manner of the defeat.
  23. Travesty is the one thing it wasn’t. We got no more and no less than we deserved. (Oh no, I said “deserved”😀).
  24. Good to meet you today. Shame we didn’t carry on chatting instead of watching the game.
  25. No it isn’t. Assess it at pretty much whatever percentage you want but it wasn’t 100% Warne’s fault and 0% the players. It seems you agree “our defending was shocking for the goal”. What that Warne’s fault? I’m not sure why you’re bringing the ref into the debate. I don’t think it was his fault and never said it was.
