Predicting Lewis Hamilton will retire at the end of this season, what does he have left to accomplish in the sport?

Passing Schumacher in wins was the big one, does he have the desire to smash that one out the park for any other driver to beat? Might be wrong but I don't see it in him.

Wins it again this year which looks highly likely, go out on top, not wait for the Mercedes decline which will happen at some point, even if hard to imagine right now. Toto as already said he plans to stick his feet up in an office job at some point.

Can't see Hamilton sticking around the paddock either with a microphone, may make the odd appearance but I get the feeling he will become some kind of ambassador for a good causes around the world.

Hamilton won't quit, not now he has competition, not with new regulations next year, and not while he's young enough and fit enough to see off his teammates with ease.

If he starts losing to Russell and next years car is no fun, then I think he might go at the end of 22 season.

I say losing to Russell because in what weird world will Bottas be back in the car next year?

The fact that Ferrari took more pole positions and had many more front row lockouts, Red Bull took as many poles as Mercedes in the second half of the season, Ferrari continually lost races from a winning position due to driver/strategy error or reliability, Bottas often struggling in 5th, 6th or 7th on various circuits. By the final races of the season, there was very little to choose between the top 3 but Ferrari and Red Bull definitely had the edge.

In your opinion. The facts suggest otherwise.

Bottas struggling is not indicative of a 3rd fastest car, it's more because he's not a top class driver, in my opinion.

It's another drive from Hamilton which further proves his legendary status. Bahrain this year and Turkey last season are two Grand Prix where he found a way to win without the fastest car, putting an embarrassing distance on his highly competent teammate. Consider those races with his 2019 title, where he won with the second (and by the end of the season, third) fastest car, and it ends any argument that he only wins because he has the best car.

Won't argue with Hamilton's legendary status, never been a massive fan but have always respected his talent.

This 2019 3rd fastest car nonsense, where on earth are do you get that idea?

Of late, Sacha Baren Cohon, Matt Lucas, David Walliams have all come out and apologised for sketches in their comedies over the years.

Part of the problem is this constant need to apologise for things that were perfectly acceptable years ago.

Some people will apologise for anything if it keeps them popular. It's embarrassing.

If they perform sketches like that (whatever it may be) now, then by all means take them to task but they're not going to are they? Comedy has moved on and so have comedians along with the rest of world.

Inception is the most overrated film I've ever seen. Just completely "Dr Who's" it's way through by introducing some magical way of solving a problem in the plot out of nowhere. But it looks pretty.

Not seen the others you mention.

    I like Terminator 1 & 2 I suppose.

The Martian was good for the first half and then just got stupid.

They're the two (three) that I could watch again. Can't think of any others I like. Just find it very hard to suspend all belief in reality which is required with most of these films.

You've never seen 2001- A Space Odyssey?  Definite Charlie George/10 there matey boy.

  6. Part 1 made George sound like a bit of a plonker, Part 2 I felt was better and I was more sympathetic to him.

Hope he gets his fitness and love for football back otherwise it will be a sad waste of a talent.

  7. And the Vega 64 is quicker than a 1080ti in this game as well.

    Not that i have one!

I can spend £400 quid on a video card but have been hanging on to my 280x for ages hoping for a Vega refresh to up clock speeds and lower power. Probably won't happen, might have to wait for Navi.

Will only get nVidia if i absolutely have no option, not a fan of their practices and hey, i like the underdog ?

The Foreigner starring Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan. Brutal, gritty and very well acted. Yes, there are martial art scenes from Mr Chan but not 'over done' as in some of his films. Great supporting cast led by Pierce Brosnan. This is worth a look. 8/10.

Agreed. Watched this the other day and Jackie Chan/Pierce Brosnan are excellent in this film, it's an 8/10 from me as well.

  9. Well, I got Dirt Rally and Doom on PC

Haven't played them yet, too busy with my other presents.

Fanatec CSL Elite wheelbase and Formula wheel ?

Also, my son has FIFA and Pro Evolution on PS4 and he tells me Pro Evolution is actually better in terms of gameplay.

    Time to switch @David

Will wait until 1070 1080 gpus get on the market then snap up a 970. I thought Doom 3 was very underrated. Doom 4 sounds and looks great.

Given that Polaris (RX480) will stomp on a 970 for less than 200 quid why would you even look at one?

Looking forward to getting stuck into Doom 4 later this year. I will need a gpu upgrade though. Any thoughts? Snapmap looks interesting.

As always, depends on your budget.

I would wait for Polaris to drop though before making any decisions.
