I'm not even on Twitter, but I was watching with my son, who is.

Ping, looks at phone then mutters FFS!

Told him to leave it in another room for the rest of the game, you'd have thought I'd asked to saw his arm off the look he gave me!

Stay away from Twitter as long as you can. I ended up abandoning my Twitter account because I found it was getting overrun by weirdos...

But your post reminded me that the lag in the broadcast was much longer than usual on the day of the match at Rotherham a few seasons ago (you know which one!).

It was torture that day. Hearing the ping as you say and then listening to Craig Ramage almost exploding as Rotherham clawed back goal after goal.

The club could be a bit slower with the Twitter updates, I knew Boro had scored the other day before the ball even reached Friend!

I remember the old app had a full 7-8 minute lag one day. It was usually no more than 1-3 minutes behind but, geez, when it blew out, it could really blow out.

I used to monitor the Gameday Discussion page in this forum when the lag was worse than normal.

It's incredible how superior the Rams TV service is to the old app when you think about it.

Not sure if you’ve noticed but as a fan base we suffer from paranoia.

Sky Sports hate us, Prutton and Goodman hate us, the BBC hate us, Daily Mirror and Mail hate us, Kenny Bur....forget that one.

With everyone hating us I’m not surprised at the requests to have a Derby County fan commentate, one of our own.

Call me weird but I tend to zone out from all TV commentators, mix it into the background noise coming from the Dog, I can see what’s going on with my eyes.

The personal preference thing is key here, you will never please everyone regardless of who you stick behind the microphone.

Even the much loved Graham Richards has his dislikers.

You could say we’re all just a bit different and I like it that way.

Has anything more correct than those words ever been said?

And you forgot to mention those damn gypsies. They have it in for us as well.

I must say, I remain slightly baffled by the desire of many for this.

The biggest complaint I see about Jack's commentary is that he talks too much . . . you'd get even more talking from the radio comms, if anything!

As I'm learning from doing 23s, 18s and the odd first-team game, commentating for TV is a very different skill to radio commentary.

Technically I think it's too much of a challenge for us to sort anyway.

On your other suggestion, I'll mention it again here, but I don't really have any say on that side of things!

My preference is FOR the Radio Derby team, not AGAINST the Rams TV commentary TBH.

Jack's not my favourite but I don't really have an issue with his commentary.

But, as an Australian, Radio Derby has been my connection to the club for years. I was an early subscriber to the previous app (the name of which momentarily escapes me) and switched to Rams TV from the start.

For all of the frustrating aspects of the Radio Derby coverage, I'm used to channelling my passion for the club via Rampage...and enjoy him for almost the same reasons most Derbyshire-based fans find him annoying.

Both of these are superb suggestions.

For yesterday's game I just had to turn off the video commentary it was sooo bad.

I listened to Radio Derby on my phone and watched TV. Even though it lagged about 20 seconds behind the video, it was preferable to the commentator on Rams TV.

Pro-tip: If you're a video subscriber, you can actually log in twice simultaneously; once on the app and once on the DCFC website.

If you click on audio for one and video on the other, you can pause the video to reduce the lag...

It does seem to work better (ie it's more malleable) if you select the video on one in particular - the website, I think - but it ultimately doesn't matter as it works whichever way you do it.?

  6. Love Rams TV and commented earlier in the season about two 'suggestions for improvement' (which, for once, isn't a euphemism).

With my professional background, I fully understand why the annual subscription option may have been deemed too costly to retain but it'd be silly of me to pass up the opportune moment to reiterate the case for its reinstatement: as an Australian Rams TV audio subscriber at present, the past month has seen us broadcast at least four of the past five matches (I think; Norwich was the only match not broadcast here...of all the matches!)

You'd be 'cray cray' to stump up for a broadcast subscription this month. Had I the annual option, Derby would have my dollars (converted into a tishload of pounds) months ago and I wouldn't have to even think about whether to go broadcast or audio each month...

Nor is that an especially easy process (and very painful if you miss the renewal date)...

So, please, in the event that we're ever in the Championship after this season, reconsider the annual option ?

NB: The other suggestion remains a brilliant one too (if I do say so myself): permit the matching of Radio Derby descriptions with the telecast please. I'd be happy to pay a premium for the ability to do that...and recognise that aligning them is my problem. ?

What email are you sending to?

The one in the Rams TV section and the main one: I’ve received a holding response from my third email so I, at least, know it’s being looked into at last.

I replied saying I can't login to the app etc after no normal problems, they replied saying they had forwarded my email to the app team. I said what have I got to do for a refund, they said to contact them on Monday during office hours.

Firstly I live in Spain, im not sat in Chad with my feet up. Im not the sort of person to complain especially at the start of the season when it was ****, but I don't see why I should pay for games when I can't watch it

Sorry to do this this way but I wasn’t sure a PM was the right thing to do.

I’ve just sent my third email as I've yet to have even an acknowledgement from the club, let alone a response.

Would you mind (if it is to hand) telling me which email address you used? PM or on here would be fine if it’s handy. I’m just concerned as I can’t really confirm if thae issue re my credentials has been corrected until match time. I can log into the DCFC site without issue but Rams TV still seems to have an issue.

    They did *%^$#@( email me.

But there is a message as you log in too, at least I can see one.

To be honest, i’ve never received an email as far as I can recall but I routinely look up the matches being broadcast and look for the message at the log in screen in Match Centre.

Unbelievable comments on here, I think Rams TV is awesome, the whiners on here criticising it ought to get a life. 30 plus games live for £110, less than £4 per match.

I have no problems here in the USA, so stop blaming the club and look to your internet connections, Mel has provided a fantastic service and I do not want any whinging whining idiots jeopardising it just because they don’t understand modern technology.

Unbelievable comments from you tbh. And ignorant.

In my case, my login credentials are, according to the message, failing authentication. Since they’ve been saved and not been an issue in the past, I fail to understand how this might be my failing.

I’ve tried to log in on both Android and IOS; same issue. And in both App and the site. Any suggestions from a modern technology genius???

Mmmm...the only response I have received from the club thus far is an email announcing 40% off kits, plus an extra 25% off the away kits...

Since I have already bought all three this season, it’s not of much interest to me but a reply to my emails would be, especially since I can’t fully test that it’s been fixed until the next match!

Still not working, emailed the club, not holding my breath

If you get an answer before I do, i’ll be most upset.

Game over. Brave effort by the boys but a 1-1 draw.

But still my annual subscription isn’t working. And there could not have been too many more critical matches for this to happen. Not happy quite frankly.

    WTF?

Trying to access my annual subscription to Rams TV to listen to the audio (it’s televised) and receiving an “Authentication Failed” message on two devices. Double checked the password (even though the loaded password should not have changed).

Been trying to email the club for 15 minutes but can’t bring up the site, let alone the contact us email.

And missed the goal too as I was distracted by the bloody mess....why????

Finally able to send email. Awaiting response.

It’s half time and, while this is the first real issue i’ve had with the service, right now i’m very unimpressed. Even though it’s been only half an hour since I sent an email (followed by a second as the message changed on the iPad), it’s been 55 minutes since I tried to contact the club.

Nor has there been even an acknowledgement of the email (not even an automated response) and for a message that prima facie an annual subscription should have avoided.

  15. Take it as a challenge and prove to yourself that you CAN do it.

Conquering the addiction is an achievement around which you can frame your entire future.

Alternatively, if you prove not to be one of the successful ones, it'll be at least one thing you can tell your grandchildren you achieved :D

Besides...what's the point of giving up the forum ,if you're not going to stop following the Rams for the same period? I know we seem to be sailing in fairly calm seas right now - so the forum is less necessary to vent frustration - but surely it is only a relatively minor occupier of your time to actually following the club?
