  1. I would expect him to be on the bench - depends if he was injured or not...
  2. Interesting. Here's hoping. I'd love it to be a name from out of nowhere.
  3. Bold are more likely ones - we know there's been interest in Weston, and a midfielder in last night would hint at the rest. Sibley though, is currently our best available left (wing) back. Elder's close, but not likely to be back for Charlton on Saturday if we're still working on the 10 days.
  4. They're desperate for every penny they can get, so will hold out for the best offer possible. This was only going to go one of two ways - it either happens on deadline day or it doesn't happen at all.
  5. The way the Adams transfer has appeared out of nowhere gives me hope something similar will happen with a striker.
  6. 13 appearances, 5 starts this season. Missed the entire of 22-23.
  7. Midfielder, 28. I wonder if this is one of Fornah/Thompson out on loan then?
  8. While I'm not a huge fan of the link with Gregory - he made a decent contribution to Wednesday's push last season. 10 goals and 4 assist in 25 starts and 13 sub appearances.
  9. or... perhaps Vickers hasn't done anything bad enough for Warne, to warrant him losing his place to Wildsmith? He certainly hasn't in my eyes, even if he doesn't exactly fill me with as much confidence as Wildsmith.
  10. I would be amazed if Ince came back here, imagine his wages are too large and he's not a Warne player in the slightest. The obsession with ex-players continues.
  11. He's a forward like NML is a forward. Played most of his games on the right.
  12. Bradley Johnson did a Q&A in the hospitality pre-Cheltenham. It interested me to hear that Lampard regretted his lineup in the final. He was trying to pick a team that would nullify McGinn and Grealish, hence Huddlestone's inclusion - instead of just leaving the team that finished the semi-final at Elland Road.
  13. Wonder if this was the striker we've been outbid on? Can't remember Derby ever being linked with him mind
  14. Feel like Ward has been a bit unfortunate, signed for a system that we haven't regularly played, as we rarely look convincing playing it, and picked up an injury that kept him out for a while. Then when he does come back, gives away a poor penalty, and it seems Warne can't trust him defensively. He'd look okay in a 5, but would rely on him getting support from t'midfield - and are you really picking him ahead of NML or Wilson (though thought the latter had a poor game vs. Cheltenham)?
  15. As my dad would say, rest his soul: "You can only beat what's in front of you". I understand that fans (including myself) want a better standard of football, but it simply isn't going to be that way. Most teams will do everything in their power to drag you down - and the standard of the league without Sunderland/Ipswich/Wednesday in it is lower than it has been in previous years. I'll take a year of less than inspiring football if it gets us out of L1.
  16. Can you imagine how many tennis balls you need to get a match abandoned? Now I think about it, I want to see it happen
  17. Can't believe what I'm about to say, but this is utterly sensible from the EFL. Allows the Reading fans to have their moment of protest, but actual punishment if they make a habit out of it. Can't imagine we'd have had the same leniency, mind.
