  1. The funniest thing about it is the complete lack of punches actually landed. You'd likely get better tear ups at the bingo hall. This made me laugh though...
  2. Hearing the announcer call Dajaune, 'Dijon' has to worth the cost of entry alone, Ossie. I'm in!
  3. Interesting. Should we achieve promotion, will using the 'Pythagorean Winning Percentage formula' allow you to factor in the feasilibility of us meeting the cost of a 20 goal a season Championship level striker et al and if not, how will it determine whether we have underperformed again? Likewise, did the formula afford any weighting to the restrictions applied to Derby's activities this season in reaching the assessment that we have underperformed? Lastly, are you, by any chance, related to ap04?
  4. An interesting analysis from the Washington Post, if anyone is interested: The fallacy of the โ€˜West versus the restโ€™ worldview In the shadow of the wars in Gaza and Ukraine, a certain shorthand emerged. The battles that raged in war-ravaged cities, trench-lined marshlands and the corridors of the United Nations had sharpened a burgeoning global divide. Countries outside the West did not seem to share the same outrage over Russiaโ€™s invasion of Ukraine as their U.S. and European counterparts, nor locate in the war the same fears of the collapse of international norms voiced by many in the West. 5. Oddly I'd never watched any of Fargo, save for the original Coen brothers movie. Blitzed series 1 last week and loved it, but S02 seems to be a mile off it. Worth continuing or did it peak at S01?
  6. Musk's fanbois don't care though, Stive. He could take a dump in their mouths and they'd still be fine with it as long as some members of the wokist cult had to smell it. I cite Trump, Brexit and Boris Blowhard as precedents. Meanwhile, my 'bot collection' grows by the day ๐Ÿ‘ฝ
  7. Reserved you a space Deano. We lose Wednesday night and it'll be standing room only in here!
  8. Why don't you DM me pal. I'll accommodate you.
  9. Did you not notice that I'd spelled it incorrectly too. No idea what your beef is tbh, but FWIW, you're not the only one who misses the lad.
  10. Nothing at all as far as I can see. Just TJJ sat in a chair. Cryptic response from Nate to it though. Perhaps the lad might be fit again prior to end of season after all.
  11. That politicians served the electorate, British bobbies were the best coppers on the planet and the NHS was the envy of the Western world. Seemed credible when I was a kid to be fair.
  12. Not rhyming slang, think of the motion used to strum a guitar and you won't be too far away.
  13. I don't do parlays, money lines, build-a-bets, handicaps, or any of that mug punter shyte. If you fancy Wycombe outright though, I'm more than happy to accommodate you on the proviso that it's for charity. Otherwise you can bugger off to Ladbrokes ๐Ÿ˜‹
  14. What a pair of lemons. As we found, stick a gun to their heads and they'll remove your ticket. I wonder if Strummer knows that his moniker is a South London colloquialism for w****r? 'What's yer name pal?' 'Derek, but my mates call me Strummer...' 'Figures...'
  15. Dijon Brown?!? ๐Ÿ˜‚ Is it because he's mustard?
  16. Another 2 point deduction for Everton confirmed on BBC Sport site. I wonder when we'll hear the outcome of the Gump's appeal?
  17. Err, that's kinda the joke...
  18. Hating the wait now. I'm normally not nervy about games as these are the matches that matter, so why not embrace them, but I am getting twitchy with all the hanging about. I don't rate Wycombe that highly, but they are precisely the type of team we have typically struggled against in recent times when we've not been 100% at it. They're big, they're strong and they are well organised defensively. I thought we were good against Pompey, but they wanted to play football and I think the Wembley game clearly showed the different kind of challenge we will face against Wycombe. They will look to disrupt and break up play at every opportunity and our lads will need to stay on their feet, in and around our area. It'll be interesting to see if Bloomfield persists with his bright young things, or whether some of the more experienced types are drafted back in. Sadly, I don't see fatigue being a major issue for them, despite the short turn-around.
  19. An assault on Rafah would be the end of Netanyahu and would effectively curtail all bar the most rabid of Western support. I think the backlash from the murder of aid workers last week has given the Israelis pause for thought. It's one thing killing sub-human Arabs, it's another thing altogether killing white aid workers. Personally, I think Netanyahu is done and if so, good feckin riddance.
  20. *scraves B4 would be mortified at that spelling ๐Ÿ˜‹
  21. A nothing comment that could be made about each and every team we play. I actually watched the game and saw nothing to fear, bar their threat from set pieces. Doesn't mean they can't beat us, but I'd happily lay your bet if you fancy them as much as you seem to.
  22. 12 shots, only one of which forced the keeper to make a save. Posh also had 10 shots blocked to Wycombe's 2 and 27 touches in the Wycombe area vs 13. They also forced 15 corners compared to their Wycombe's 2. Wycombe won more aerial battles and that's probably a significant stat and with that in mind, we'll need someone picking up Forino, who was dominant at both ends. He'll be a threat. We'll also need to keep an eye on Leahy who is dangerous from both from open play and free kicks. Considering the size of them, I thought Wycombe went down pretty easily, under even minimal contact and the referee bought most, if not all of it. How Posh ended up conceding 11 free kicks to Wycombe's 8 is something of a mystery to me, but again, it's something we need to be mindful of as I think their principal threat against us will arise from set pieces. Calm heads required.
  23. Were you watching? Here you go. I'll endeavour not to be so literal in future, but one shot on target in each half and their goal the result of a 40 yard hoof into the box doesn't constitute creative football for me.
