  1. He meant otter mate. Good at pulling silly face, swimming and catching fish, not much kop at football
  2. Current market value @ £400k apparently. Hmmm....
  3. Can we instead have the fella who is preventing him from getting a start, please? Arrived at Reading on a free transfer from Cambridge 🫣
  4. Shouldn't you be asking the person using those terms why THEY have taken the chants so personally? It's not personal for me, I just explained what I thought was @Srg's rationale for posting, now you've decided to take me to task for it. WTAF.
  5. This is 400 yards from my place. The rain appears to have stopped just in the nick of time, but still a bit anxious to be honest. Not the best start to a year I've had 🫣
  6. Live and let live mate. We're not obliged to have opinions on everything and I think if someone called you pathetic and embarrassing, you might feel differently about whether it's demeaning or not. If that's not the intention of such comments, what exactly is?
  7. My predictions for 2024 - lots and lots of sprint races, mid-race holds for monster truck events and Dolly Parton sing-alongs, Checo is slow, Danny is slower, Merc improve, but RBR still having half a second a lap on the field in party mode, Ferrari build a rapid car but forget to add wheels to the spares order, McLaren still quicker than the team that supplies their engines, Hamilton to retire end of season. Can't wait! 😬
  8. Maybe, but at least you're not on a darts thread calling darts fans 'embarrassing, pathetic, t****'. I think that's the point @Srg is probably making. For balance, I don't really get the Yaya / Kolo references either, but unless I'm missing something, it's just folk having a few beers and being silly and it's hurting absolutely no one. Let's have it straight here, demeaning folk for something so insignificant is not a great look in any instance, but when you consider some of the stuff us Rams fans chant, you'll need to forgive me if I say it seems properly one-eyed.
  9. Give it a chance man, you only been married a few weeks! 😋
  10. I'll take your word for it Rich, though a Spanish Arnie does sound like a riot!
  11. From the BBC: Israel will fight South Africa's claim that it is committing "genocidal" acts in Gaza at the International Court of Justice, an Israeli spokesman has said. "History will judge you, and it will judge you without mercy," Eylon Levy said, addressing South African leaders. South Africa filed the case at the ICJ on Friday, to Israel's outrage. South Africa is a staunch supporter of the Palestinians and has repeatedly condemned Israel since the start of the war with Gaza on 7 October. More than 22,000 Palestinians - the majority of them civilians - have been killed in Israeli strikes since the war began, according to Gaza's health ministry which is run by the Islamist group Hamas. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-67866342
  12. Cash reading this thread... 'Err, about the loan-back thing...' SMDH
  13. Hear what you're saying Vulcan, but I'm not sure too many are advocating 18 month contracts. I'd just like to see him stay to the end of the season with an option on the table if the lad if he does well and proves his fitness, which I think he will. Seems like a low-risk play to me with a lot of potential upside. I think the lad looks like a baller tbh. Also, my hunch is that even if he does extend, PW will still be looking to bring in A.N.Other.
  14. Hey Bob, I've moved this to the movie thread to keep things shipshape. I think it's on Apple and Prime, also YouTube all for around £2 to £3. It's from 2011 so there's gazillions of free torrents out there too if you're set up to download them. Obviously avoid anything dubbed like the proverbial plague. Hope you like it!
  15. It's one that grew on me, but the jokes remain daft and the plots even dafter, so if you don't find yourself taking to the characters, I'd probably give it a skip. I probably gave it more latitude than I might have because Omar Sy is in one of my favourite ever films, The Intouchables, which I strongly recommend anyone and everyone to watch, especially anyone feeling in need of a lift. It's a delight and a treasure IMHO.
  16. Sadly, football is played on grass, not paper and as such, 4 wins from our next 5 would make me a very happy Ram indeed.
  17. Come now Alf, I'm sure you know that's a Bactrian camel, not a Dromedary, also known as, Camelus Bactrianus, or the Mongolian Camel. He looks rather thirsty too though, poor thing!
  18. Ah, that's who I was thinking of but couldn't wrestle the name from memory. Paul McGrath. Nailed it Norwich, that's him all over. He'd be chuffed with that I reckon.
  19. He has that no nonsense air about him and I think Cash would like that comparison, assuming he knows who Dave Mackay is. Mackay was quite fearsome, but also a really talented footballer, so I can definitely see similarities. I could certainly see Eiran aspiring to be that sort of player. As it is, we don't really know Cash's ceiling yet, though some on here use his alleged lack of pace as proof that he'll not be top table. I understand the thinking, but I don't subscribe to the absolute need for express pace (think Fikayo Tomori) at CB if you've a yard or two in your head and an ingrained desire to fight for everything. Nice to have for sure, but not mandatory, as there have been lots of top CBs who weren't any quicker than Eiran and quite a few a lot slower. Let's not forget too that despite 100 games played, he remains a young lad mastering a position in which even the top exponents do not peak until quite late in their playing cycles. Honestly, I've no idea what the future holds for Eiran, but I'd wager fair sums that he'll has a very good career ahead of him and that he will likely prove himself to be comfortably of Premier League quality. I just pray that when that times comes, it's as Derby skipper, having helped the Mighty Rams secure two promotions and not with some other outfit who just happened to have a few quid while we were still on our uppers.
  20. Have to say it's been another difficult season injury-wise, with the squad only now back to something like manageable numbers. Of course every team has its share of bad luck, but when you look at who has been out for longish period(s), it's definitely been tricky. The one I keep thinking about, given the way I believe Warne wanted to set up, is losing Embleton for the duration with the lad having barely kicked a ball. Honestly, after Thorne (and all those that followed), every time I see a Derby player go down looking hurt these days, I literally wince 😞 Stats would probably show we are no more, or less lucky than others sides in this regard, but it feels horrible when it one of our lads, not least for the players themselves.
