My gut feeling is Mel is struggling for money, liquid money to pay the wages.

I wouldn't take it personal pal. I think the vast majority of fans who boo the gesture are booing BLM as an organisation and the fact that they want to defund the police and other unsavoury policies. 

The atmosphere won't be very good with only a partial attendance.

Maybe it does hinge on which division we're in. Though I would've thought that just affects the price.

Maybe Alonso, and whoever, cannot stump up the money.
