  1. Banging on is bang on. Keep it up!
  2. I think the combination works best. 4-3-3 so midfield doesn’t get overrun. Difficulty there has been getting the right combination. Adams and Smith has worked well lately but in Bird’s absence we don’t have an automatic third (Thompson was okay on Saturday but Orient were rubbish) If we had Bird with Smith and Adams for protection, we’d have quicker ball to the wide players so crosses are more effective. Ideally we’d have slick first time passing, except our players have the limitations of League One quality so sometimes passes go astray. That’s not ideal in a tense, must win run-in so it doesn’t happen. Pragmatism has worked this far. The target was promotion and we are within touching distance.
  3. He’s a good player, but what we’re asking is that he leaves his job in the City to go back to McDonalds where he enjoyed work as a younger man. Sadly, I think his financial expectations are far beyond what we could offer him.
  4. Great trip again yesterday. Thanks to all who made it possible. Would recommend it to anyone in the region who wants a different routine on match day. Lots of amiable chat amongst Rams fans, a spot of lunch and a drop off closer to the ground than you’d get by car or train. The organisers guarantee a home win every time the coach operates (may have made that last bit up but two from two recently!)
  5. With Lincoln’s challenge fading do we think Joe Taylor might be a realistic target? Would be great to have a striker with genuine pace.
  6. We said the same. Purely medicinal I’m sure

  8. Glad they had a Subbuteo goalkeeper 😁 Super day, erasing the memory of Wednesday.….. and relax.
  9. I’m sure there must be bingo and a quiz somewhere
  10. Another great opening sequence and theme
  11. Steptoe and son. Derby should run out to it.
  12. Boo! Useless tasser. And all that with a bunch of (if you believe the forum) useless players. He’s not the Messiah. He’s just a very naughty boy.
  13. Bristol City might have something to say about rushing Bird back!
  14. B kind B positive B loud and proud B4 you’ve given us so much to think about Happy B Day
  15. Always liked the Puma kits. Hoping for some exciting designs.
  16. If they were fit, I think I’d agree with your team but I don’t think Bird and Barks are fit to start. I’m a bit surprised Fornah hasn’t been given a go. He’s not great but he is physical and can run.

  18. Don’t think any of the subs strengthened us. Waghorn used to be a good, aggressive player but now he’s just an aggressive player. He commits fouls hoping not to be seen despite the fact they are about as inconspicuous as a tiger in a nunnery.
  19. We’re all on here moaning about a point at Wycombe. We are still second in the league. What would B4 be saying right now? My guess is come on guys, let’s get behind the team on Saturday and get Pride Park rocking. Portsmouth will beat Bolton and we’ll be four points ahead again.
  20. Not sure how adding Bradley helps in any logical way. Our problems are in attack. We have a selection of forwards who either aren’t fully fit or otherwise just aren’t good enough. Smith and Adams battled manfully in midfield but they desperately need a third player they can rely upon. Ward provided that briefly. Bird’s return would help massively. We have the version of James Collins who runs around a lot without being creative and Washington who gets behind defences and then….nothing. NML looks cursed. I have never seen a player kick the ball into touch as often. We know CBT can be good, but does he? What surprised me last night was our willingness to pump the ball in the air again, letting Wildsmith take long free kicks when creativity was needed. I hope that they will practice in training the slick first time passing which can produce the three wins we need.
  21. What has happened to NML? He looks like a man who has forgotten how to play football. He needs a rest I think. He has been the driving force in our season but when he’s out of form we create little.
