We are 7th and the manager hasn’t signed a player yet so let’s all just calm down and give him a chance and if we are playing like that in 12 months time he will be under scrutiny.

Based on what I have seen thus far, and heard him and his coaching staff say, my fear is that the players he is likely to sign, are the type that suits his awful style of playing.
When I hear his best buddy and assistant suggesting we should be willing to lose possession it fills me with horror in what we will have to endure.

    Polonia have been battered here.

How did Saudi Arabia beat Argentina?

I think it is often a case of the smaller teams have one good game in them, and if they are not taken seriously the bigger country can come unstuck.

I'm not holding anything against them, just pointing out that the reason there is no racial tension in Rwanda is because ethnic minorities have been wiped out, or have fled to neighbouring states. Have you ever been to any of the countries you claim to know about? I have and you clearly haven't, as If you had, you'd know the civil war in Rwanda still rages on. I guess because it doesn't appear on your Facebook feed you feel you know the craic. You don't. You seem to swallow any old garbage fed to you if is suits your political agenda. Don't believe me? Try heading to the Rwandan - Burundi border and see how safe you feel. I find your smug ignorance astonishing and all in the name of political point scoring too. Absolutely risible that you then choose to sermonise me on the need for forgiveness too.

I have travelled there and felt very safe, even south of Butare. The food is rubbish but the people are very welcoming. Beautiful country too.

Who is offside in this picture?! This is the point at which the ball was touched by the player

When the Free Kick was delivered into the box  - no one was offside.

The player sticking his right foot behind the keeper. It left just one player between his big toe and the goal. Stupid I know, but thems the rules.

  7. There is no doubt that our playing out from the back was sometimes an issue (not as often as some say) as we had a couple of players who were uncomfortable with the style. My assumption before Rosenior left, was that we would recruit players to fit into that style.

My fear is that Warne will go the other way and recruit players to fit in with his style of launching balls into the other half. I shuddered at the sight of Port Vale playing better football than Derby apart from a couple of brief spells.

So you expect the players to know exactly what Warne want and for Warne to know exactly how he can make best use of the players at his disposal after less than two weeks?

I reckon the players have got to learn, and get used to adapting to how he wants to play, and he is going to have to adapt his style a little to fit the skills of his players. Neither of those things are going to happen overnight.

Regarding the height of players, both Rotherham and Derby already seem to have about 10 players over 6 feet tall so it doesn't look as if having a team of giants is necessarily Warne's style.

To be fair, I think that trying overnight to turn what is the essentially a passing team with players largely brought up on passing the ball, into this direct lump ball  style is a bit daft. It probably demonstrates his limitations.

My 6ft+ reference was more about lower division style footballers than just their height. ?

For Derby's goal Mendez-Laing passed the ball on the ground to Barkhuizen who then strode up the wing and passed the ball on the ground across the penalty area to Collins for him to score.

Note the use of the key words in that paragraph.

Was that not good enough for you?

It was a joy to watch that move, that is what I want to see, passing the ball to each other, it really does work as you have explained.

I honestly don’t care at this stage that we lost, it does happen. My gripe is the way that much of our game plan involves lumping the ball, the players are more capable than that and I don’t believe they can be happy with it

I am not calling for Warne to be fired, that would be ridiculous after three games, he just needs to realise that the game is far more entertaining when played on grass.
