For the remainder of the season we must try to pass the ball to our own team. This nonsense of pumping the ball down the line to the waiting opposition is painful to watch and probably painful to play. Very frustrating.

Trite rubbish. Personally, I'm not keen on graffiti at all but, leaving that aside, it's just so jejune. If someone were to tell me Banksy was their favourite artist, it would elicit the same response as being told their favourite musician were Taylor Swift or Ed Sheeran. "Wow, you must've really thought long and hard about the medium before concluding you like the exact same massively overexposed thing as everyone else."

Maybe everyone else likes those artists for good reason! 🤷🏽

Why scoff at what others like because it doesn’t fit with your preferences?

Could someone confirm if calling a rival fan attending a match with children a "padeo" is good old fashioned atmosphere or being a nob?

It clearly depends on how many brain cells you have.

The UK government has admitted that nine Israeli military aircraft have landed in Britain since the Hamas attacks of 7 October. The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has refused to say what those planes are carrying or what they are doing.

Personally don't see why they should if it is to do with military / security.

The Royal Air Force has sent 48 military aircraft to Israel since it began bombing Gaza. Declassified has further found that Britain has conducted 65 spy missions over Gaza from its vast military and intelligence base on Cyprus.

As above, why would they say? What sort of aircraft anyway? The spy missions if they actually happened are more likely to do with Yemen / Iran / Syria.

Almost none of this extent of UK military support for Israel is being reported in the British national media.

I don't think it should be, it possibly never happened.

My first reply above is copied and pasted from Declassified's website - you can choose to read a bit more about it, or not, i have no problem either way.

I tend to not believe what i read much nowadays but sometimes you can make assumptions based on the balance of probabilities, a lot of stuff Declassified publish is directly from government quotes and FOI requests so i do find it interesting and even if half of their stuff is correct its still a lot more than you will find out through the mass media.

I don't disagree, the mass media are at one end, they have to sell their publications so sensationalise and stretch the truth to attract a paper purchase or online click. Then organisations such as declassified sensationalise and stretch the truth in the same way. With both of them they attract readers who are already leaning one way or the other. The truth usually lies somewhere between. The real truth is that most conflicts and particularly this one are as a result of religion.

Whatever your political positions are, there is no way you could call it a war. Palestine has no army, no navy and no air force. Israel has all these and military support from the UK, the EU and the US. We are flying regular sorties from our base in Cyprus to assist Israel in killing civilians in Palestine.

I have mates in the forces and they are not proud of what they are being asked to do.

In what way are you suggesting this is happening?

Over 30,000 Palestinians now murdered, over 80,000 injured, over 10,000 still buried under the ruins that were their homes and in excess of 2 million displaced without access to food, water and medicines.

    When is enough, enough?

Probably when they return the hostages and stop voting a terrorist organisation to run their country. Not saying it is right, but they couldn’t have hoped that their actions would not lead to the Israeli reaction. Hamas and those who support them in Palestine also have blood on their hands.

Weirdly the best football seen IMHO at pride park was with 3 at the back ..Laursen Stimac Rowett......

It was what was infront and behind them that made a significant difference

We played Igor as a sweeper controlling everything. None of our current defenders would be capable of that, nor do I think our current manager has the ability to understand how to play it.

I think it's wrong to recline any more than a tiny bit at any point during the flight tbh. Does my head in, especially when you're trying to watch a film.

Put the overhead air vent on full and push it forward. Open newspaper and keep letting the corner of a page just touch the persons head. Guarantee they will move their seat forward within five minutes. Tried and tested and will help pass the time for you.

The players should be able to adapt to a change in formation they will practice it every day in training

I see little evidence of them practicing much every day in training. I am sure they do practice, but the manager is clearly inept at getting his message over. They look confused.

Manager 1 (for getting his shoes on the right way round)

Even in this game the players showed that they can play football and cut through defences. Why then revert to the utter, shambolic disorganised garbage that they reverted to. The players look confused, get in each others way and are almost zero threat to the opposition goal from open play.

The answer of course is with the manager and his clearly inept staff of coaches [sic]. I agree that we cannot move them on at this stage of the season, but promoted or not, they have to go at the seasons end.

My hope is that the owner has a big enough pair of balls be making the right moves. Sadly. I suspect not, the manager probably has him in his pocket.

He is streets ahead of Wilson and is our best player at breaking the offside trap. With Bird in an advanced role, he can pick him out. His recent burst of goals coincided with Bird improving.

Yes but Mr Warne said that he likes the way Wilson takes on defenders, even if he loses possession; which he mostly does.

The manager- oh dear. He seemed concerned that they were closing us down when we had the ball. 🤷🏽 keep moving the ball and dictate where their players move. His answer of pass it long to the opposition doesn’t work. If he had more belief in his team, life would be easier for him.

another poor game where we barely create a chance and continually give the ball to the opposition. I would love to know what they are being coached.
they showed grief moments of good football playing through, only marginal offsides stopped them. Why go back to lumping the ball forward. 🙁

Because, IMO, 1) as already discussed a man in the sin bin might very well cause the team playing a man short to try and kill the game and slow it down until they are back up to strength. Heaven knows blatant (lawful and unlawful) time wasting is frustrating enough already without this added cause and 2) some offences may be worthy of a yellow card but ten minutes in the sin bin might be a bit harsh.

My own view is that a ten minute card will be a hiding place for inept referees not strong enough to control a game.
