We have reverted to being so predictable. Down the sides sling a ball over, defenders under little pressure head it away - and repeat, and repeat etc. etc.

It's a tick box exercise.
I'm not saying she isn't good enough and won't go on to have a great career, but rushing people through before they are ready results in people like Atwell.
She stands out as being the best referee we have had by a distance. I am pleased to see her progress. To say it is a tick box exercise is strange.

And sorry, I might have missed this as have not spent time on here recently, but when did Cashin become the new hate figure? Ridiculous.
I wouldn't think he has, that would be daft. Bradley did bring some calmness to the defence which was good. He also played excellent passes into midfield which was a positive.
The good thing is that assuming that Cashin goes in January, there is more comfort in playing Bradley after his dodgy start. The bad thing is that Mr Warne thinks that he can he can play three centre backs again and we are back to square one.

Excellent performance, passing on the grass to each other, retaining possession instead of a percentage lump forward, crosses with pace instead of a looping effort to nowhere, varying the way we attacked and a forward playing like a forward.
I hope that the penny has dropped with our management that we don’t need to worry so much about what other teams do. The players were enjoying the way we were playing; it was entertaining and positive.

You'd have to be a sandwich short of a picnic to invest in a 3rd tier football club, Even a club our size with a possible 30k + attendance every other week, Lets say DC wants to get rid of a 49% stake in the club...that's around £25m, DC still controls the club and the decisions made within, An investor wants a return, That return will only come about with promotion to the EPL.
DC keeps his man...PW...would you want to give him a budget in January, PW missed the boat last January when not finding a centre forward he admitted this was a mistake.
Unless there's a sugar daddy out there that's got so much loot in their back pocket hidden from the Tax Man...DC is on his own while PW is his man...imo
The last thing I would want to do is invest in a club with Clowes still with controlling stake. Nobody would be that daft. Not so sure about a valuation of £50m either.

I am grateful for him stepping in for his company to buy the club. I think the time has come for him to sell at least a controlling share to bring in new investment. In football terms he hasn’t made good decisions and is holding the club back. In long or even medium term, fans rarely make good owners, that has certainly been the case at Derby.
The potential of the club is a great opportunity for investors to get a good return, particularly if we can get back to the Premier. I would hope that feelers are being put out for potential buyers / investors. I doubt it though, but if that was the case, we may as well hang on to our inept manager & his coaching team until a new owner gets shot if them.

Why was employing Warne a shocking decision? He had 3 promotions from this division on his cv?
Why was turfing Rosenior out a shocking decision? He had us sat 7th place and playing football that was boring alot of the fans.
Followed rapidly by relegation. His football has never been attractive.
Rosenior had us playing football (on the grass stuff). I was never bored by it. Warnes non football keep giving the ball to the opposition bores and frustrates me. It is an offence to football.
He is not building for the future, and with his record of relegations he never has done.
Everyone to their own eh! -
As far as I can see Clowes has made three shocking decisions since taking over. He turfed Rosenior out, he employed Warne and his team and Warne is still here.

That was much better, we played controlled football with some nice quick passing and looking after that ball. We also in the main played it on that lovely grass rather than lumping it forward to the opposition. I think Warne is poor, but if that is how he got them playing I can be more tolerant of him.

I don’t believe our anonymous Mr Clowes is strong enough to replace our inept manager, his clearly inept coaching team and recruitment team. I would be happy to write off this season if we found investors, formed a proper board, got rid of Warne and his immediate team and start again. We are heading nowhere at the moment. I can take a loss but our football is disorganised and woeful.

Seems almost every week recently I’ve heard PW say he wants the ball moved quicker. Steele saying the same on RD, so why aren’t players whose one job it is to play football able to manage it?
Erm… they are doing, that is why we keep giving the ball to the opposition to play with.

Ideally, I want to see the current owner move the club on to non fan investors, who then appoint a manager who successfully creates a team that plays football on the grass. A team that passes to each other instead of a hopeful (sometimes hopeless) punt upfield.
-
I am not a fan of Warne and was disappointed when the owner appointed him. In the most part (but not all) the football shown has been really poor. However, in his favour in terms of the budget, it could be that the owner has let him down with the promised budget (and I mean it could be, I don't know).
I am also not a fan of fans or one person who is a fan running the club, give me a set of sports investors any day. Of course I am grateful that Clowes saved the club, but won't be disappointed when he sells on.

The service Collins gets is crap though and he spends most the game chasing nothing balls and closing down passes. He could do more with some chances but if he was that clinical he wouldn't be in league one. Telegraphed crosses that centre backs can read all day isn't going to cut it for him to get a big tally.
I agree that sometimes the service he gets isn't great, but he has to take some responsibility for that as his positioning where they can find him is also appalling, as is his movement in front of goal.

That’s Barker’s job
Not on these occasions it isn’t. The buck stops with the manager, he shouldn’t be abdicating responsibility.

Is our manager strong enough to rip into them, or does he still want to be pals with the team.
We look as if we are playing the worst team in the league, but don’t have to put the effort in to beat them.
Second half will be interesting if Mr Warne has had a serious chat. -

Not sure PW told them to give the ball to the opposition!😉
The instructions to get the ball to the front as quickly as possible, and the ‘don’t be afraid to lose the ball’ inevitably mean losing possession more than retaining it.
Fortunately, our manager appears to have seen the error of his ways, and hopefully starting to act like a proper football manager with his players looking after the ball.

If that is the case, maybe at least one of our players should running to the near post, rather than hiding in the middle of the defenders.
