That's a big do list. I'm really struggling to think of the last time we materially improved in a January window. It's a real challenge I would say.

That's the thing.....6 points from 13 games had us on track to get ooh 17 ish points and be not the worst prem league playing team .... But we managed to invest and get worse in H2.....

I completely missed this but very much agree with you on this Comrade. Regardless of our opinions on OF and the style of play, nobody can be in any doubt that he always gave everything for the team. He deserves respect and more importantly, peace for his family. Deeply depressing behavior from the public (I agree with the earlier poster that actual fans will be suitably more appreciative).

I think I remember.... It was "why this season is as big a disaster as last 20 or so...."

Last year it was the second half of the season that did for our promotion ambitions so it's there that we need improvement.

My local team Eastleigh are 1 up vs Reading and Robbie's lad has just picked up a booking. Playing quite well. Chris Maguire plays for them now.....

I think that would then be described as promotion form and is what we'd all like to see. Up to this point we haven't managed a sustained run of those types of performances. We've had good matches (Barnsley) and scrapped out good results in modest performances (brizzle), but a really strong run of good performances leading to good results has to be the aim....

The way to test the goodness of fit of any statistic is to do analyse the distribution of the actual vs expected. That is, the distribution of the residual (A-E) You'd expect that shape to be the classic bell shaped curve. But the value of the mean, or peak of the curve, should be close to 0 with a relatively narrow dispersion around the mean for it to be seen as statistically "good".

Last year we had a tiny squad and the wheels didn't really fall off until they all got knackered around Feb time. This time round we have a bit more depth in places, whilst still having gaps, so we might last a bit better. Do need to manage NML carefully tho.

Watched highlights on Rams TV. We've got a couple of very nippy lasses plus one who was a bit more Rubenesque at getting around the pitch but who has a lovely left foot shot and curled in the 4th... We went 1-0 down as well!
