  1. I know we're not particularly a possession based team but stats showing 82% for the opposition is an early concern. Warne was worried about the wide players but the gaps are in midfield?
  2. Play it through the b****y midfield! 😉
  3. Can @i-Ram and I sit in our south coast armchairs and moan? 180 miles is a bit of a schlep just to moan.....
  4. Did I mention that Claire grogan was sunbathing topless next to me on a very quiet beach in Simi in the 1990s? Pert....... very pert,......😛😇
  5. It sounds like a good time to be playing Peterborough. The fact that we're apprehensive about getting a result against Peterborough to maintain a possible promotion place in Div 3 makes me want to weep. But on we go...COYR
  6. I didn't fancy this one a couple of weeks ago, but we are playing better across the 90 mins and they have a poor stand in goalie playing. So I think we could do these 3-0. NML frgs.
  7. My Manu supporting mate thought that Matt Turner was Utds best player. He also thought Antony should be frog-marched out of Old Trafford for feigning injury as he was being subbed.
  8. As a director, (not owner) he can legally put into admin to protect the entity from being wound up by creditors. So presumably there were other creditors and no more money.
  9. That's because not all his money was injected as equity. Owners would rather loan money as a directors loan rather than inject equity, because it's legally easier to get your money back out (you just ask for the loan to be repaid, with equity you can only get dividends or try to sell it to someone else).
  10. I didn't think that the team as a whole were getting a lot of stick even when 2-0 down. Wildsmith personally yes, for a particularly dim challenge for the pen. Most of the other criticism was aimed at the ref for buying lots of soft free kicks?
  11. That's what I mean. I said that I wasn't that impressed, not that he was terrible. I still haven't got it out of my head that I was expecting Bradley to be a colossus and he's ok, but not much more than that for me.
  12. So it's the first couple of rows? Is that the case all round the ground?
  13. Will Osula getting a shout out - starting for Sheffield utd at the Etihad. Had a couple of efforts...
  14. We're certainly in good form atm can we improve even further from this level of performance? I guess cutting out the silly fouls maybe?
  15. Interesting point.... I've watched and seen lots of stats that show the causation/correlation from performances to results, but not the other way round. That's not to say it doesn't exist though - as we are indeed witnessing an example where our results have been excellent whilst performances have been steadily improving. We were playing well "in patches" a few weeks ago, "getting results" a bit before that and now putting in dominant performances. I wonder if it also works the other way - lose a couple of games in which you've been the better side and performances tail off.... I agree with you that both are on show atm.
  16. The results have been very good for 9 games. Yhe performances excellent for the last 2, patchy before that.
  17. Just noticed the table shows we're on 46 points from 23 games. So we've hit the magical 2 points per game rate. Not long ago I was writing that we were fairly solidly achieving 1.5 ppg. About 14 games in I think. This has been some run.
  18. I wasn't impressed with him. Played a backpass that looked panicked and a bit short of wildsmith. Ducked under a couple of up and unders. Will be nervous until I see Cash and Nelson have extended.
  19. Away fans excellent again. Could even hear them over father in laws snoring........👏
  20. I was more impressed than with the Wigan performance. Brainfarts aside, we played really well from about minute 20.
  21. Utterly pathetic challenge by Bradley there. Just as well Cash was there.
  22. We've gone back to giving free kicks away. Need to be smart here.
  23. Oxford have brought on Gatling o'donker Let's hope he fires blanks.
