Think he's a good character and shown real resilience to come back from his ACL injuries but I think League 1 was and is his level.Watching the wingers in the Championship this season ,I fear for us if he gets exposed .
Suspect he’ll be used sparingly at LB/LWB next season. Probably CB cover off the bench

If it’s in Daj’s hands he’s doing football wrong!!

He always comes over as bright decent family man who pedigree shines out when PW mentions his performances. Doubt there is any truth or evidence for these claims.
What was it PW said to Smith in the team meeting when he took over? “I tried to sign you last year”, or words to that effect.

Why? Did it work badly this year or something?
and if Bradley is starting enough to warrant the armband then we will be troubling League One again.
Wonder if the players had a vote for NML for the run-in, or if PW picked him?
Amazing too that our midfield looked much more cohesive when our promotion-winning skipper started on the bench!

Would imagine he will do the same as he did this year and ask for the group to vote.
Think he should nail his colours to the mast this year and select his captain. I’d strongly suspect Bradley will get it and to be honest I think he’d thrive off it!

Barnsley don’t have a manager and I would think Sibley’s wages would be beyond what they would want to pay either, as well as any compensation that we would be due.
I have absolutely no doubt Sibley will have an array of Championship clubs taking an interest too. I could see him leaving but I’d be stunned beyond belief if it’s back to League One - unless Birmingham throw a ton of cash at him (£20k a week, etc)
Would it be a surprise to see him turn up at a certain West Country Champ rival?

I think that we will need at least one dead ball specialist to replace CH.

Its a decent place to start the conversion this... as soon as you say 'I do / don't rate' a certain player it becomes an argument.
Lots of posters who I rate seem to love the lad so he must be doing something right.
Personally (wrongly in many people's opinions) I'm not 'emotionally' bothered. Nothing against him - and it was a fairy tale way to end his career here - he just doesn't pull me in like other players do.
Maybe I perceive a casual demeanour, lack of crunching tackle, eagerness to play the safe ball ... and he's just 'ok'. Not pacey, or aggressive... he's kinda graceful without enough mouth dropping moments of quality to get me out of my seat.
Adams or Bird - I'm picking Adams all day long. Same with Kane Wilson.
Quite happy to accept I'm wrong. Just the way I feel.
Happy to be another “wrong ‘in”

Haha, I love Fozzy but I wouldn't put him in the upper echelons of League One centre halves.
I think Wildsmith is a good goalkeeper, and we could do a lot worse than him. I also think we could do better if we wanted, but I'm not sure if I'd make it a priority. Whatever happens, he'll always be a Derby hero.
True, but Foz was still pretty good individually and with Cash alongside him.

What about a Prem No3 like Scott Carson ?Hanging around like a lucky mascot . But with a shed-load of medals .
I’ve always thought Loach may fulfil a similar role to Carson in the dressing room, albeit there is no requirement for “homegrown” players in the EFL, think? Just not as many medals or on 30k/week!

We saw a whole season without Nelson in front of him.
For Nels read Foz!
Joe has some great qualities but he’s far from the finished article. Does he continue his development with us in a solid defensive unit, or prefer a real fight for the shirt in the PL? I’d be genuinely interested to see how he’d get on.
-
Part of me wants to see how good Wildsmith is without Cash and Nels in front of him? Undoubtedly part of his Golden Glove award is theirs. Expect he moves on unless he’s ends up as one of our top earners on a 3yr contact.

After an opposition player missed a sitter or made a mistake it was hard to beat a good chorus of…..
You're not very gooood, you’re not very gooood, you’re not very, you’re not very, you’re not very good. 💩 at the end of each line optional 😆.
