But we wouldnt have got more without those stats would we?

I don't know, I mean any player is suppose is worth what a club is willing to pay. Prices always seem to be inflated for English players so I thought we could have got more for him even for that reason. I remember being quite sad when he went and it felt cheap that's for sure.

You cant have thought much of our Will Hughes then?

I didn't too much actually, no. However, he was young and had time to develop. Can't believe we sold him so cheaply.

I havnt disrespected you, think you disrespected me though. Calling me love was a bit sarcastic not the friendly love or duck you get in the shops.

    Can agree to disagree ?

I can totally understand the view that we might need to go in a different direction to move the club forward.

There’s a lot to admire about the job Rooney has done - irrespective of whether we stay up or not - but given promotion will be the eventual aim, it’s fair to say that it is a completely different kettle of fish and requires a different level of consistency and ability to get results. The kind of which Rooney and his teams have yet to demonstrate.

Of course, should we stay up, Rooney deserves to stay and every opportunity to move the club forward. It would be unbelievably harsh to part ways. Even I, as someone who isn’t in favour of Rooney, would have to say the achievement would be outstanding and Rooney would deserve total and complete backing.

However if we do go down, there is an argument for making a change, having a clean slate, and appointing someone that is more familiar with League 1 football and knows what it takes to succeed in the division and turn the club around. Harsh too, but this position I could understand.

    Fully agree.

Rooney should never have got the job, should never have kept after last season. Ultimately, he's profited from a void in ownership that's allowed him to churn any result out he wants and them going unscrutinised.

    With Rooney moving forward:

    1) If we stay up, he deserves to stay in the job because he will have produced excellent results to have done so.

    2) If we go down but with the 21 points back on, would have stayed up then I'd give him the first 10 games or so in L1 and see what he can do.

    3) If he takes us down and even with 21 on we would be bottom 3, sack him.

Option 2 seems most likely. My issue is 75 games with 27ish percent win rate is awful. I'm not sure how much is down to the circumstances of the club, and how much is Rooney and his lack of experience and ability.

Who do you think you are calling me love, you are not worth replying to, besides i dont want to get done for slander.???

I'm just teasing, don't worry. I'm not doom and gloom though but people should have different opinions and they be respected. I actually do like Ravel.

Yeah, sorry, forgot you claimed to be a football coach. And that's how easy it was to out you ?

Point me to the post where I've claimed I'm a football coach please?

Dont worry i have, especially wanting Rooney gone after all the work he has put in.

    You clearly haven't love.

Regardless, are you only allowed the opinion that Rooney is a fantastic manager? Having a difference of opinion doesn't mean you're negative. I want us to do well and if you had bothered to read my other posts, you'd have seen not 15 mins ago I said I can see us taking survival to the last day, so that's hardly doom and gloom is it?

Can you find anything good to say about anything connected to Derby, try and be a bit more positive, we have enough problems at the moment without you spreadind doom and gloom.

Lazy attempt at slandering me, read my other posts.

So why not rail against the balance of the team too, since by your own stated metrics, they've been even worse than he has. You seem to want to have it both ways.

Some might argue he missed an absolute sitter. What is his average rating in the player ratings we give players each game ? That might show us how he has been performing compared with others.

    Depends where you look, no?

How many did the rest of the team have put together? ?

None, but I wasn't the one saying Morrison had been one of our better players. I'm simply asking if it's not goals, assists, shots on target or clearances then I'm not sure what metric we are looking at to justify that statement.

Since you've decided we've already lost those four games against current top 6 sides, those 5 wins can come from the other 6 games.

Your vitriol isn't needed. I've not said we've lost them games. I'm pointing out statistically it is very unlikely given our record under Rooney.

I haven't seen any "abuse" - plenty strongly disagreeing with you and more than a few incredulous, but if all your opinions are so lacking in explanation or justification, you can't really expect people to engage constructively with you. Those kind of statements are always going to get fairly blunt responses. It really isn't unreasonable for people to ask you "why", unless your sole purpose for being on here is trolling?

You not seeing doesn't indicate not having happened.

Welcome, but the reaction you received to your first post can hardly have come as a surprise, as it's very much a minority view. The only worse things you could have said were "I'm having a party when DCFC die" or "I really don't like sausages".

When you've answered the question as to why you really don't rate Rooney, you might find the responses a bit more considered.

Given the sheer abuse I've received in 12 hours for having a difference of opinion, I'd almost not want to waste the energy.
