Gritty
I wonder if Pompey's latest difficulties will mean we won't see all the money for Varney? And - if so - does that mean he comes back to us or we write it off?
AndyB
I expect we'll get x pence in the pound like other creditors.
Hucknall Ram
I believe all football debts are paid in full
Gritty
We can't paid in full if they have insufficient funds to pay; i.e. they might be completely skint.
p.shilton
I believe that Pompey will squirm their way out of paying their debts again and be spending millions again before Christmas
CumbrianRam
Hope they give the FA Cup they cheated in getting back.
davenportram
It'll depend how much is outstanding, if any .
Ramarena
I bet it was being paid in installments. If so we might not see much of it come our way.

Hucknall Ram
We can't paid in full if they have insufficient funds to pay; i.e. they might be completely skint. If that's the case liquidation is the next stage. In Administration in theory every player is for sale, to clear debts etc
p.shilton
Shame that they are all *****. How does that work though, as the transfer window is closed
Hucknall Ram
Loans and sign at the end of the season, like we did with ward and theo
davenportram
Teams in countries where their window is open can buy from countries whose windows are shut. .
p.shilton
How does that work, is that within the rules? I have been confused by this since we signed them. What is the point of a transfer window if you can effectively sign players at any stage?
davenportram
You can only buy players when the window is open in your country. Transfer windows do not preclude sales. Remember Cywka was being linked to Poland when their window opened in February - after ours had closed .
curb
Didn't they bend the rules for them last time, to allow them to sell some players and ward off going bust? Like this time, they've advanced them some of the parachute money to keep them afloat, despite Portsmouth spending over £4m on players in the summer. Something stinks and it's not my underpants (this time).
rynny
I vaguely remember either glick or clough saying that we got paid in full up front for him. Could be wrong though!!! rammieib
If we didn't, its yet again shocking management to allow another business who was in administration to be permitted to spend a large sum of money without getting it up front. Whats our chief Exec on - £175,000?? Anyway, I suspect we did receive the money.
