We lost 2-0 to second placed team.

We had a poor first half

Second half we created 9 chances and hit the woodwork 5 times. Against the meanest defence in the league.

Their keeper made two blinding saves just after half time at 1-0. Then the defence go to sleep and concede - radios words haven't seen it so might not be true.

We created enough chances to get something out of it. Didn't crumble or retreat back into our shell like we did in similar games last season.

We will win and draw more than we lose.

He has made some decent signings as well yes, but we can't keep pointing the finger Glick and co for a lack of investment every time we lose.

The question really needs to be asked now why we are getting this amount of injuries, every club get's injuries yes but under Clough's tenure we have had a ridiculous amount.

completely agree Dav, I reckon we are moving in the right direction, but I can understand some negativity and comparison to previous tail offs after the last couple of seasons..

I agree 100% with the Lack of investment showing. That much is obvious. The board have a hell of a lot to answer for and have gotten away with it thanks to Clough and Co's ability to cope in adversity. Should not be this way. Losing to Boro is today was no shock, but our squad is now decimated by injuries and its time for immediate action to try and put a stop on our inevitable collapse in form. Without Shackell, and the others out, we are no match for any team in this league at present.

how many teams have spent 2.8 million this season?

Cos leicteser went down on 51 points once!

generally 48 or 49 is good enough.

41 will take you down, which is our 21 points tally + 20 !

fair enough, right you are .......cant see some of these clubs at the bottom getting so much in the way of points....maybe forest will sort it out but bristol and even donny......ahh dunner know lark....dont think we'll be scrapping later on....mid table and happy with that

have to disagree with going into the shell apart, from listening to 5 live it sounded like after they scored there second we did crumble for the most part, we had a chance afterwards and last 10 minutes we put on a decent show, but it sounded like they had plenty of chances after they scored the second.

how many teams have spent 2.8 million this season?

$2.8mill on a team that finished 19th last season, can you really expect the playoffs? Especially as $1mill of that $2.8mill was spent signing up the loan players made from last season in Robinson, Fielding and Ward.

Mid-table we are.. mid-table isn't bad given that our team is hardly brilliant..

Though NC doesn't make things easy for himself, leaving out our creative players and playing for draws will get you battling side, not so much a winning side.

Wait until next season, we'll be top 10 next season..

I am not expecting the playoffs, but people blame lack of investment without fully realising that actually we have spent a decent bit of money this season and last season we had a little bit as well. You can't blame a lack of investment if the board are giving nigel almost 3 million to spend.

The board haven't invested $3mill..

That $3mill NC has saved by selling off Hulse, Commons, Moxey, Varney etc.. plus the wages saved from them 4 plus Porter, Savage, Pringle etc.. Not to mention income through ST sales etc..

The club haven't given NC $3mill to spend through their own pocket.. NC was allowed to spend this money as he has generated this money..

The same goes for any other club.. Reading sold Long for $6mill and they've been allowed to re-invest that money by signing Leigeterwood permanantly, Le Fondre, Gorkks etc..

Comparing half time stats to full time stats on the BBC they had 8 or 9 chances the same as us. Just because they have chances doesn't mean we crumbled. If we had we wouldn't have created as many as we did.

Sounding slightly positive and very realistic Bris

Buxton, Anderson, Riggott, Bailey, Tyson

Probably a tad harsh but so is blaming it on a lack of investment, we have 10 defenders on the books and 8 strikers. How many Championship clubs have that many? About time Clough took some of the blame for wasting money.

10 defenders and 8 strikers, yet of that 18, you only name 5 of them as injury prone. What about the Barkers and Brayfords and Shackells and Robertseseses and Maguires and so on who were signed with abnormally insignificant injury histories?

In an ideal world we'd have more money, and in an ideal world we'd have a lot less players out injured and in an ideal world Clough may not have signed one or two players that he has done.

The lack of investment for me is what's hurting us. Sure, a lot of clubs don't have as many first-team players as us, but most clubs have more first-team players available than we do. I doubt there's a club in our league, or maybe even the football league, who have an injury list like ours.

And the first thing any club does when their squad is stretched is dip in to the emergency loan market. We seem unable to do that, despite the fact we clearly need another right-back and another centre half. And another midfielder. And probably another striker.
