uttoxram75
I was a little unsure so i'll hold my hands up, think my point still stands though. No need for the f**king abusive language though, what sort of a c**t starts swearing like a t**t in the middle of a f**king simple as f**k question??? As for this take over, A - It's in The Sun B - I prey to God it's Brian Robson and his dodgy mates from Dispatches, that would be perfect... Good swearing. Any tool can swear, but there's an art to swearing meaningfully. well done.
Day
BILLY Davies will not be called upon to make a dramatic return to Nottingham Forest. The former manager had issued a statement through his agent suggesting that he is willing to return to the City Ground for the rest of the season, as the Reds look to claw themselves away from the relegation zone in the Championship. Several senior members of the squad, including skipper Luke Chambers, have hinted that they would welcome the appointment of the Scotsman. But not all the Reds players would approve of a second spell under Davies, who was not universally popular in the dressing room. Despite regular public criticisms of the club from the former manager, Davies always had a solid relationship with chairman Nigel Doughty. But the appointment of Steve McClaren's successor will be decided by Mark Arthur, the chief executive, along with Keith Burt, the head of recruitment of scouting. And both men are thought to favour a fresh figure to take over the helm. http://www.thisisnottingham.co.uk/story-13480385-detail/story.html

archram
NOTTINGHAM FOREST were last night on the brink of a dramatic takeover. A US/Chinese consortium fronted by an ex-England star is in advanced talks to buy the crisis club. Owner Nigel Doughty wants out after 12 years — with the managerless side 21st in the Championship — and a deal is said to be very close. The would-be buyers even have a top European coach already lined up to replace former England boss Steve McClaren, who resigned on Sunday after just 112 days at the helm. John Pemberton, Karl Robinson, Kevin MacDonald and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink are also in the frame for the manager's job. It emerged that Peter Ridsdale offered on Sunday to become the new chairman, though it is understood the former Leeds supremo's surprise offer will be rejected. Donny Ram
Just out of interest, does anybody know how the "financial fair play rules" will impact on subsidised loan player wages such as Bellamy to Cardiff last season for example? Will the full weekly wage be taken as applying to the club loaning the player or the one making the laon, or will the value be apportioned based on the contribution towards the players wages? The reason for asking is that when the FFPR's become applicable to the Premier League it will probably change teams approach to squad size far more than the 25 player rule does at present. I think whilst we have suffered disappointment in recent seasons that we have got out house in order in advance of the FFPR's being applied. I know their was discussion on this before but it seems even more appropriate with what's happening down Brian Clough Way.

It will be based on what each individual club pays in reality, so Bellamy to Cardiff probably wouldn't have happened.

Ambitious
There are ways around it but it won't be through bank loans or money clubs don't have, so lets say for instance our board wanted to go all out and buy million pound players on good money (chuckle 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='^_^' /> ) then they could but they would have to invest the money directly into the club is that correct? for instance, chairman can't take out loans to cover losses which Doughty has been doing for the past 3-4years so it takes away the safety net for chairmen who want to go all out for promotion, it has to come out of their pocket, I could be totally wrong but that's my 'brief' understanding. As far as I know they (Cardiff) would be accountable for whatever proportion of Bellamy's wages they paid, the rest would be on Man City's books so they'd have to account for it... No, chairmen couldn't just pump money in either way, it has to come from the club's turnover. However, the chances of clubs sticking to it are pretty remote.
