We didn't qualify. Truly the 'champions league' back then.

None of this Liverpool/Chelsea finishing fifth but qualify nonsense

Where did you finish the year after you won the title?

You weren't champions that year but you still got in. Why not the year after?

It turns out you were and lost to CSK Sofia in the first round

Need to check you History Dawny

oh dear another Notts Florist fan who don't know his own club's history 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

the only thing that inflates their attendances is all the hot air 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

I think its selective Amnesia - either that or hell claim to be too young to remember and no-one ever talks about that season - out of Europe after the first round and didn't even get close to the title again

I concede defeat, although in my defenceit was 7 years before I was born! 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

Is 66% still the most successful team ever? I bet it is

Was it really that long, long ago? Wow.

Yeah in the days of if it was a draw in the final it was decided by the flip of a coin just ask Liverpool they won one that way, can't imagine that happening for real what a way to decide who wins the tournament

Good work Dav, I was going to question his stats but had to leave for work, it was bothering me all night as I was positive they didn't win the title twice to qualify.

Well in Dawnies theory, forest were champions of england twice.

Well I know derby were, but not forest.

Wow, is that right? We won the league, a 46-game marathon - twice? And that's a competition you can't get drawn against favourable opponents or get lucky a couple of times - that's a real test. Twice, you say?
