Let's Talk al-Notts Rovers

If your players look sharp and fit, your CBs understanding, your backline doing the basics, your midfield moving the ball about a bit and wingers and strikers stretching legs all with no injuries and no massive gaps left open I'd say it's a good friendly no matter the score.

How many boxes you tick v Villa?

I'd say most of them from what I've heard. Reid looks like a stick (Well, as much as he can look like a stick), I think SC kept him on a treadmill for all of the close season.

first game of the season for me yesterday

we looked very impressive, yes its only a friendly but wow, some of the football being played was sublime.

It started for you yesterday, but if you'd lost 3-0 it would have started next game, but if you'd lost that it would stat the game after etc.

To summarise, every time you win, you think your team are world beaters, as soon as you lose you want a new manager and squad.and are conspicuous by your absence on here till you win again.

just added a bit ..

It was a very good result for forest - anything to get over excited about, definitely not but for one, I think SOD got it spot on take away the prestige of the opposition and the result and focus solely on the performance and he said he wants better and that for me is spot on, now if their manager was smug and rested on that result I would of been much happier but he seems like he will press on - I would be worried if I was a Villa fan though, that team looked very poor on paper and in practise seemed even worse so perhaps they should be pressing panic buttons...
