Jamie Ward, Jamie Ward,

He's ****, im bored

9 is all he's scored

Jamie Ward, Jamie Ward

We've got an always injured, tiny Yorkshireman, who has lost a yard after his latest injury, can't play against the Blades and has only score 9 in 63 to score our goals

And his name is Jamie Ward

(sung to the tune of the Rasiak song "we've got a great big pole to score our goals and his name is Rasiak) Might have to sing it really fast to get all the words in.

Some songs to sing before he's touched the ball.

All very true, but the sad fact is, he's better than we've already got.

Maybe you can build the rest of the side on the cheap but strikers generally cost big money, either in wages or fees or both.

To be honest I am glad that we are able to get Jamie Ward, even if a high number of you guys are not too pleased about it. Yes he may have not scored many goals at Sheffield United but that is maybe because he is not playing in his favoured position, as at Chesterfield he was scoring for fun. It's basically all relates to the team around you, and if you are supplied with decent balls to be able to score as well as the overall team tactics. As after all clough is wanting to get the ball down on the floor more, well we will need pacey small forward to sneek through the gaps of the defence to get the goals, as S.Davis and Porter does not have much pace do they?

After all don't make an opinion on a player that has yet to play a game for us as after all he has to settle into the team before he shows his potential.

Danny Graham was ***** for us, couldn't score for toffee.... now leading goal scorer in the league with Watford.

Exactly, so why do everyone presume Jamie Ward is going to be crap, as from what I saw of Jamie Ward at Chesterfield, he wasa really good player. Its just he may have just gone to the wrong club for him (Sheffield Utd) in the way they lay out their team with the tatic's etc.

tbf he was a young player, in a crap team and up front on his own most of the time.

Sounds familiar :D

I think he will play in the 3 of the 4-2-3-1, if we start playing it again. Two players like Cwyka and Ward running at you all match will produce something.

Getting increasingly worried about the size of our team though.

Goals for the opposition when they give the ball away?:D

Seriously though, it's interesting that Nigel has identified that a pacey forward is what we need to make the team tick, when most of the good stuff from earlier in the season was based around having a big lump of a target man.

If Nigel's right it shows why football management isn't about doing the obvious. If Nigel's assement is wrong, both he and we are stuffed.

BBC reporting that it is more then likely going to become permanent in the summer.

As long as we don't committ ourselves to a deal in the summer.

Hopefully we can take the player on the same kind of deal that Blackpool have with Varney as in we can send him back at the end of the season if he doesn't work out.
