Anything positive to take from yesterday moving forwards?

Much more to do with a team which had sat back and defended suddenly conceded and then became more positive (look at their substitutions) hence we had to defend a bit more. Warne has often been criticised for not responding to opposition changes - he basically can’t win, can he? Unfortunately, we drew the game because the player/players didn’t do as they are told and poorly defended a throw-in (something Warne is always on about).  Unfortunately, some fans just make the facts suit their own agendas.

That's us right? Look how many chances we made after they scored. Why didn't we play like that earlier?

Because after we scored, Shrewsbury completely changed their approach and, to their credit, actually started playing on the front foot and we were clearly struggling to adjust to their change of approach because for a while we couldn't get hold of the ball with any consistency. We'd started to get a grip of the game again when the injuries to Adams and Nyambe happened. After their equaliser, the game became more stretched because BOTH teams were suddenly looking for a winner. Once they lost their shape a bit, we started creating chances. If they'd played in such an open way from the start, we'd have had the game sealed by the hour mark, which is exactly why Hurst set them up to prevent a game of football breaking out, ably assisted by an inadequate set of officials.
