Guest
Personally, I feel we need 4 or 5 players as we are and this is based on an incredibly thin squad with games seemingly destined to be more like 100 minutes over 46 games plus cups rather than a direct reaction to yesterday although that consolidated my opinion. We obviously don't have the budget for that many additions and are still in this time period where young players from the PL are still being assessed by their clubs. Championship and top end league one players that would improve us seem out of reach financially with what we have left reading between the lines. Warnes type is the 'been there, done it, got the promotion medals' which I'm all for but the frees have now dried up. Do we start looking north of the border or even into Europe? Is that a risk or would people consider it a panic after only one game? I know our recent reaches into Europe have been mixed to say the least, thinking of Jozwiak, Albentosa and Bueno a bit further back. For the record, I don't think he will dip his toe outside of our leagues and is perhaps more likely to go non league than that but the signings of Waghorn and potentially Sharp and less likely, Rhodes, don't cover for any of the problems highlighted yesterday IMO. The latter two are 6 yard box players even in their prime and Rhodes particularly is a long way past that
CornwallRam
Europe is out of the question since Brexit. They need a work permit and any that we could afford won't get one.

It's where i thought this Thomas chap would have some young european players already scouted. As it turns out just buy the dvd of Rotherham's 2020/21 season. hintonsboots
The bookies are a lot more confident than many posters. The squad is currently 3-4 signings short of being in a position to challenge for promotion. Is it having the League 1 promotion specialist as manager, 30k crowds, a competitive budget or last seasons finish that has led us to be clear favourites to win the league ? Maybe it’s down to the bookmakers not taking note of a few numpties on the internet 😂
