Ok, I’ll bite. At the time we let them go did we have the lowest number of contracted players ever and were we preparing for a league one relegation scrap? No, at the time we were a top-end champ team looking to push on. Yes we’ve gone backwards, but all the ex-rams that keep getting mentioned as “not good enough” good arguably also be described as going backwards and have certainly proven to be not good enough for the championship.
