All 4 bowlers have have kept it tight, bowled well as a unit and kept the pressure on causing the wickets to fall. Feels like its been a while since that happened, usually at least one goes round the park and ruins it…. Worth noting Northants won the toss and eletcted to bat. jimbo jones Posted September 9 Share Posted September 9 219 all out The spin bowlers backed the pave bowlers up taking the last 4 wickets (Morley 2, Thomson 1, Lloyd 1) A very good 90 from Saif Zaib with some help from Justin Broad (45) dragged that up from a disaster from their point of view. Can we put some runs on the board? The kookaburra ball seamed when it was new and offered turn for the spinners. Reece looked very composed, it was more of a battle for Guest. Donald 🤦♂️ its like Groundhog Day, get into the 20s then slap one to a fielder. Its not an easy pitch to bat on, its turned since day 1 and Northants have a quality international spinner in their ranks - we don't which is why I didn't like the decision for us to turn to spin so early.
