For a doddering old codger like me, there were a few too many ladders and climbing in and out of windows for my comfort, but it was very enjoyable - and the draught Zot afterwards was most welcome and exceedingly tasty. May Contain Nuts
Adnams Triple Knot Tripel, 10% Sweet, possibly too sweet! Then again, it tastes pretty much like a dessert wine, mixed with some mead, and I like those things. One to take some time over. Cisse

May Contain Nuts
First takeaway from brand new bar and bottleshop Suds & Soda, on Friar Gate. Opened (officially) last night and was packed. Tony Le Mesmer and TomBustler1884
Stive Pesley
Not been in Suds yet, but it's worth noting that if you're just stocking up for home, get yourself to Beer Metropolis in Little Eaton https://whatpub.com/pubs/DER/1550/beer-metropolis-little-eaton As well as the tap room, they wholesale the vast majority of the beer to places like Suds n Soda, Hopgate and most other places in town that sell craft bottles and cans. Their on-site prices are MUCH cheaper than the crazy money you get charged in the town pubs. And talking of paying through the nose for craft beer - I went to the IndyManBeerCon in Manchester at the weekend. Some astonishingly good beers, but F me it was expensive! Tony Le Mesmer
Feel a bit down now after looking at all these fine ales. I've only got Banks's Amber Bitter. Cracking value though at 89p and it's not a bad brew either. Cisse
