jimbobram
Alot of stick aimed at Mac, and I can understand why. But he got us playing some of the best most effective football we've seen for ages

Carl Sagan
It's a barbed quote, saying "if Pearson sticks with my brilliant team and formation he'll take Derby up". He knows Pearson will change the team and formation. If we go up, McClaren will still claim some credit; if we fail, he can say Pearson moved away from his [McClaren's] largely winning formula. McClaren's life opportunity to redeem his reputation was to build something sucessful at Derby. But by most accounts it seems as though he took his eye off the prize and thought the grass would be greener at Newcastle. It was a ridiculous thought. Even Rafa will have a very difficult job to be a success there.

BramcoteRam84
He had his chance and blew it. Could have been epic, if he hadn't been so arrogant and courted Newcastle we'd have probably won promotion and who knows what might have been. Derby was Mcclaren's last chance to be successful in management. Doubt we'll see him again, at least in the top flight. Even Rotherham didn't want him!
