Day Posted July 20, 2015 Share Posted July 20, 2015 A man who killed his stepfather after giving him an "atomic wedgie" has been sentenced to 30 years in prison.Brad Davis, 35, pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter in May.His 58-year-old stepfather, Denver Lee St Clair, was found dead at his home in McLoud, Oklahoma, in December 2013Davis, a former Marine, had pulled Mr St Clair's underwear over his head during a fight.The elastic band of the blue underwear became wrapped around his neck and strangled him.Davis told investigators he had given Mr St Clair an "atomic wedgie".He said he did not mean to kill his stepfather, but the pair came to blows after Mr St Clair insulted Davis' mother.She was in hospital recovering from hip surgery at the time of the deadly altercation.Davis' lawyer said his client, who lived in a trailer owned by his stepfather and mother, had been bullied by Mr St Clair all of his life.The court heard he took mobile phone pictures of Mr St Clair as he lay unconscious and gurgling on the floor.
