Players out: Roos(loan), Christie(loan), Shotton(sell), Rawson(loan), Max Lowe(loan), Hendrick(sell), Sammon(sell)What would your "perfect" but realistic squad for next season be? Bryson was really poor last season, has 4 years left on his contract and is rapidly approaching 30. If we can get out from that contract, I'd jump at it.I'd also get rid of Warnock. DesertRam Posted June 28, 2015 Share Posted June 28, 2015 I wouldn't have alot of changes immediately, as we need some stability, we might have had preseason but last thing we want is to take 3/4 weeks to gel! Do you think weve signed Baird to play as a right back then? I was hoping we'd get a better quality right back in. Despite errors towards the end of last season, Grant outperformed Carson in this league.We saw at the beginning of last season Hughes is ineffective in any sort of holding role so why play him there when he is far more effective further upfield?Wisdom isn't a target yet (that we know of)We looked poor when we played 4231 last season so why would we utilize it this season?Mine would look something like: Grant Yedlin Albentosa Shackell Forsyth Thorne Hughes Hendrick Ince Weimann MartinBench: Carson, Keogh, Baird, Bridcutt, Bryson, Russell, Bent Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
The_Sheriff Posted June 28, 2015 Share Posted June 28, 2015 agree with the Grant comment. for a season and a half he's been one of the best keepers in the division, ok he dropped a few clangers in the important last few months but the whole defence was dreadful that must of played on his mind let alone as mentioned on the meeting of mel morris thread that he was playing with a knee injury so wasn't even fit.
