Ovis aries
We got Thorne/Eustace (heard he agreed the deal but who knows it might change though) so what the point of getting another one?Not good enough for Bruce .

Scott129
More than comfortable with breaking our transfer record for Ince. He's a special player and, unfortunately, you have to shell out quite a bit for those nowadays.
kingsy1884
Players of Inces quality, age and potential dont come around too often so I think within reason whatever we pay for him after a whole season with us he will probably be worth more anyway.I say get him in!! Ovis aries
Apart from Blackpool and last season with us , his stats are poor , and certainly do not make him worth £6,000,

Ashz09
Look how much people are paying these days I know he's in his last year of his contract. I wouldn't mind us paying anything less then £6 mill he's a match winner some of them goals oozed class.

Albert
That's your second reductio ad lionelerum in 5 daysPeople should probably learn what statistical significance is then. Tom Ince, Championship with Derby or Blackpool:118 games (79.7 minutes per game), 42 goals and 29 assists (0.402 goals per 90 minutes, 0.278 assists per 90)Tom Ince, Championship with other teams:6 games (55.7 minutes per game), 0 goals, 0 assistsCarefully note that Tom Ince has made 95.2% of his appearances and 96.6% of his minutes at Championship level with either Derby or Blackpool, and has performed extremely well with both. Also note:Tom Ince, Premiership:15 games (47.5 minutes per game), 1 goal and 1 assist (0.126 goals per 90 minutes, and 0.126 assists per 90 minutes)Which isn't enough to say anything to be completely blunt about it. If you prefer I can do it as a reductio ad xavierum if you really want. But basically, "he only did well at the two clubs he did well at" is a ridiculous argument. PistoldPete2
Apart from Blackpool and last season with us , his stats are poor , and certainly do not make him worth £6,000,000Most of his career was at Blackpool. He hardly played anywhere else apart from a month at Forest and a few games in the prem. His stats for us were very good but I think he needs to work on getting more assists. Albert
So to quote Messi as an example is a ridiculous argument. It's to quote a lack of any significant data. Again, pretty much all of Ince's career can be summarised as with us and Blackpool, and as such to completely neglect that as a manner of writing him off isn't just ridiculous, but a potentially dishonest method of presenting data. A more comparable case would be "Aaron Ramsey not at Arsenal or Cardiff" or "Frank Lampard not at West Ham, Chelsea or Man City", but the idea is the same. Relying on a statistically and clearly odd choice of data rather than the obvious vast majority of his career.
dajstrawb
Quite funny that some on here would take a £6m punt on Luc Castaignos, but not spend the same figure on a player with proven quality, that's going to be firing on all cylinders from the word go, proven at this level and with the potential to be the next Gareth Bale (ask his dad)
