Makes it very frustrating though that he did nothing at Bradford or Chesterfield, is it because at Derby he plays with better players? Strange

Livermore and Carroll didn't do much here on loan but are both Premiership regulars now. He's very young still and will improve the more he plays.

struggles to settle outside his comfort zone, away from his home and people he's familiar with. Can happen.

Seemed he was to eager to impress. Over hit a pass etc. To be fair thoe when he made a cock up half way through talking to my dad about how nervous he looks, he then does something decent (Shrugs some one off the ball with ease). Glad to see him back nice raw pace.

He reminds me of Lee Holmes when he first broke into the first team .. Holmes was , at that time , at least as promising as Huddlestone , but faded , whilst TH blossomed into a great player .. think he could certainly be given a run ahead of Ward and Dawkins at present ..

That pass from the right to Bent - Darren feigned to cut back, and then went forward and left. It fooled everybody - including Mason Bennett who played the ball to precisely where Bent wasn't. Just not on the same wavelength.

Had a shocker for 5 mins and then came into the game.

Those saying he did more in 5 minutes than Dawkins/Ward in the game, really need to bare in mind they were going gung-ho for an eqauliser leaving him with a lot of space.

Having said about his bad start he did well to compose himself and create the second goal after a couple of bad mistakes.

Still think hes a way off where we want him to be.

Only saw the highlights of the game on the YouTube channel but he did well for our second goal. An ok touch from a dropping ball then used his pace and strength to get behind. Would love him to do well here, he certainly has the attributes.

Difference is, Lee Holmes never had the physical attributes to be a winger. He could beat his man, but he didn't have the pace to run away from him, or the strength to hold him off.  So he'd beat his man a few times, but lose possession every time, then spend the rest of the game not even trying to beat his man, just turning and playing the ball back.  Bennett has both the pace and the strength, he just needs to improve his decision making (which will only come with experience).

Not sure why we didn't put him on after 70mins as Ward, for all his hard work, got in some great positions and failed to deliver anything meaningful. It would have been nice to see him play for longer to be able to judge him better.

His attempt to play in Bent was shocking, but he showed great strength in the build up to the second goal - especially after watching lightweight Dawkins.

If we do get a new wide forward in I hope he gets to go out on loan and actually get some game time to push on with his development.
