The McLaren clearly has a tonne of down force, just a shame about that absolute donkey in the back.

Mercedes aren't only faster than everyone else - they seem to be the only team with their house in order. Red Bull might have spent two engines and a gearbox in the first race, Williams still can't get their pit-stop strategies right, Sauber have the bailiffs breathing down their neck, Lotus did about 4 racing laps between two cars and McLaren and Manor we needn't say more.

It's very amateurish at the minute.

Christian Horner can do one, moaning about the engines. Red Bull are a shadow to Mercedes, Ferrari, possibly even Williams and somehow its the FIA's fault -

"Is it healthy to have this? The FIA have an equalisation mechanism within the rules," Horner had said. "They perhaps need to look at it."

[Toto] Wolff [Mercedes boss], whose team won 16 of the 19 races last year, responded to the claim by saying: "If you come into F1 and you try to beat each other or perform at the highest level and equalisation is what you need after the first race and you cry out after the first race, it is not how we have done things in the past and not how we have moaned."

is it really a donkey or is it just at 30% power? (that was a figure I saw somewhere)

I think once they get confident through longer running and turn the engine up there will be a jump in performance. They are at least a year behind in development.
