Celtic: Neil Lennon to end four-year spell as manager "http://news.bbcimg.co.uk/media/images/60193000/jpg/_60193973_chris1" alt="_60193973_chris1"> By Chris McLaughlin BBC Sport

Neil Lennon is to part company with Celtic after four years as manager following talks about his future.

It is understood that the former club captain had been considering his position for some time despite securing a third straight Scottish title.

He has been concerned about this playing budget for next season.

The 42-year-old Northern Irishman took charge of the Glasgow club in 2010, leading them to three league titles and two Scottish Cups.

Lennon also previously led Celtic to Champions League last 16, with a victory over Barcelona in November 2012 being his side's most high-profile achievement.

However, he is believed to have been concerned that his present side would be unable to negotiate three rounds of qualifying next season.

Lennon has often expressed his desire to eventually manage in the Premier League in England and has been linked with the vacancies this summer at Norwich City and West Brom.

Not surprised, won everything he will ever win at Celtic, needs a new challenge now, be so easy to stay and keep racking up SPL titles. Be good to see him in the Premier League and see how he gets on.

might find it difficult.  He had the only sighted team in the blind league and still didn't win every game

Can't blame him for wanting a new challenge.
Wonder if any Celtic players fancy a new challenge as well?
That Mulgrew has impressed me when I've seen him play and he's very versatile. Van Dijk is meant to be really highly-rated as a footballing centreback and there was a lot of talk around the winger Forrest not long ago (don't think much to his name though)
