Burnley v Derby County

I've only just seen the highlights, the two yellows for Martin looked extremely harsh.

I've noticed lately that he does seem to have been singled out a bit by refs with some very interesting decisions going against him. There were a load at QPR that were either 50/50s or Hill/Dunne totally took him out. Although we got lucky with his foul on O'Neil on the line for Eustace's goal.

I guess these things do even themselves out, he's still probably the most fouled player in the league and he is good at winning freekicks. However, I think it would be sensible to just take him out of the spotlight for a game or two and make sure he gets his head focused on scoring goals again.

It's unfortunate that such a poor decision had an impact on the result, if Hendrick's equaliser was allowed and Martin stays on the pitch then who knows.

It wasn't to be, there will still be plenty more twists and turns in this before the end. If we concentrate on winning our games then that's all we can really do from here.

We need to forget it. It's happened and we cannot change it. It Is annoying but it is reality. New week and we must focus on Millwall in what is one of 16 must win games. We cannot look back with regret. Must look forward.

If we get caught up in this one incident, it could ruin our fantastic season.

Looking back at the goals on East Midlands News and Late Kick Off, both show us lacking in composure and experience. After the initial slip and the time it takes our defender to get back on his feet our players over commit. Will Hughes goes chasing the ball where another rams player is already there creating loads of space and leaving Dave Jones free with a lot of time and space to do what he can do. Second includes a deflection but players on this occasion look slow to react and not composed to defend the likelihood of the ball falling to a Burnley player. But on a positive note, these sort of incidents are becoming less and less in games as the coaches keep working on our players mental strength and their ability to stay in games or to control games, and game by game if our players keep learning and improving, we can all be positive and be proud of our rams.

By the time the second had gone in, we'd been putting pressure on Burnley with 10 men for a good 35mins, hardly surprising they were slow to react, they would have been starting to tire out.
