In general I have been underwhelmed by our Spurs lonees of the past. May aswell bring a youngster of ours through, they seem to do so well! They must have taken an option on his contract again as his second deal ran out in June. Why? Why keep a player and never play him? By modern football standards, it is remarkable. Players who aren't good drop down a league or two and play games. He's 26 and he's not played 75 games in professional football, he's not scored in England, yet one of the country's top clubs have kept him on their books for ages. You have to admit that's strange. Players are commodities and if they aren't producing any value they don't last long.
