Its not remarkable it suggests he's not much good

Well why have Tottenham kept him for so long? They must have taken an option on his contract again as his second deal ran out in June. Why? Why keep a player and never play him?

 

By modern football standards, it is remarkable. Players who aren't good drop down a league or two and play games.

 

He's 26 and he's not played 75 games in professional football, he's not scored in England, yet one of the country's top clubs have kept him on their books for ages.

 

You have to admit that's strange.

Brian once said that if he could find a better centre half than Roy Mac he'd sign him.

Same applies with us. If you can find a player better than what we've got and get a deal done, get him in. Any position.
