Guest
Putting our results through the Albertometer reveals some interesting results.... Fielding or legzdins? I would have assumed that our results with both players were pretty even.... In fact were were noticeably better with frankie in goal Winning / drawing with frankie : 69% Winning / drawings with legzdins 59% Brayford I would assume is a vital player...... But Results in the 6 games he missed suggest that we didn't really miss him Winning / drawing with jb : 63% Winning / drawing without jb 67% Roberts or forsyth? Were we better with forsyth........apparently not. But we were definitely better without roberts...... Winning / drawing with roberts : 59% Winning / drawings without roberts 70% Winning / drawing with Forsyth : 60% Winning / drawings without forsyth 64% These stats suggest that forsyth makes no real difference How good is bucko? There has been some debate on here as to his value to the team Winning / drawing with bucko : 66% Winning / drawings without bucko: 59% We do seem to be better with him in the team. Jamie ward It is generally accepted that we are better with jamie ward.....but actually....... Winning / drawing with ward : 58% Winning / drawings without ward 68% .....we do better without him? chris martin Are we a better team with him holding the ball up etc? Winning / drawing with martin : 59% Winning / drawings without martin 64% Maybe not...... Conor sammon So maybe the stats show the value of conor sammon ......not really Winning / drawing with sammon : 58% Winning / drawings without sammon 100% So.....who makes a positive difference Surely not..... Winning / drawing with robinson : 79% Winning / drawings without robinson 57% Yes....we are better with theo. Will hughes We would probably expect to see that he made a positive difference ...not half.... Winning / drawing with hughes : 67% Winning / drawings without hughes 54% Similarly...... Jacobs makes no real difference Nor does ben davies But Keogh, coutts, hendrick, and bryson played virtually every match so we can't assess their relative merit. maydrakin
Lies, damn lies and statistics? There are so many other variables that would have affected the result, that it makes the answer irrelevant. Interesting, but irrelevant.
Albert
Terribly performed and weak analysis. These are the kinds of posts that give stats a bad name. For example, Conor Sammon played in all but one game this season, which was a draw, how on Earth do you expect to draw any conclusions from that? L_J_DCFC
The one on Conor Sammon is comical. We drew at home against an average team. That was a bad result, and by saying 100% makes it sound like we need him out of the team.
ChaddesdenRam
I concur they don't show the full story. I think every derby fan would agree without the Bray we lose that balance down the right hand side.

Hans
Interesting statistics but not relevant, because they suggest that if one specific player was not playing we may have won the game. Ben Davies made a massive difference this season when he played. They throw up wierd answers to wierd questions that no one is going to ask. Srg
Stats are interesting to a point... but then for example, you realise the stat that we are much better with Bucko is mainly due to the fact that if he wasn't playing, f*ck knows who we had the back instead. WestLondonRam
Stats are interesting to a point... but then for example, you realise the stat that we are much better with Bucko is mainly due to the fact that if he wasn't playing, f*ck knows who we had the back instead. OB was at the back when Bucko wasn't and to be fair he wasn't fit at all this season. Brayford played in their aswell so I think he made a difference. The whole season was plagued full of injuries to key players and players who were playing unfit to get us through. If you look at it we had a strike pairing of Sammon who had a lot on his plate with the fans on his back and an unfit Chris Martin up front so with a fit Martin and a striker who can score goals we will be better at defending from the front. I think the stats are hard to look at to be fair...
Albert
You of all people should know that stats are a crude indicator and throw up wierd answers. That was the whole point you numbskull. What you posted was as much of analysis as banging your head into a wall and declaring them dangerous due to risk of injury. There was no insight in what you offered there, in particular the comment about Sammon. One match does not a sample set make.

Albert
look at Albert getting all territorial! There's only room for one stat man on this here forum!I would have honestly loved to see a good stats run down by Ram Nut. This however was not. It's like saying "you like meat don't you" when I've been presented with a plate of green carrion.

Mary Hindge
60% of the time I think Ram Nuts stats are always better than Alberts stats, but then again 92% of the time I think Ram Nuts stats are always better than Alberts...... Always!!!
San Fran Van Rams
Fair play though, the stats are interesting if not pretty useless... I wouldnt mind seeing a stat that says how we got on when we changed formations, i.e. wins away from home in 442 vs 451 and goals scored etc. Having said that, I'll probably be ripped apart for asking for a stat with too many variables and a small sample set...
