Could name another 4 or 5. Most disappointing player of the season Sammon, scored a great goal early on at home v Watford and i thought he'd have a super season.... Most disastrous performance of the season Sheff Wendy at home, coasting at 2-0 then.............. And finally... I'm partly biased though as this is the only game I actually saw live due to living abroad) Most disappointing player of the season Frank Fielding. (Expected so much more of him than he's given this year. After losing his place he couldn't do enough to win it back off a 25 year old in his first full season at the club - and it wasn't like Ledgzins was playing imperiously, he only kept 7 clean sheets in 33 games - and then when he did get it back ballsed it up by getting sent off. There are players whose performances I have rated less this season (Tyson, etc.) but I had low expectations of them anyway. For someone who was once on the verge of the England team, Fielding has not delievered this year.) Most disastrous performance of the season Ipswich at home. Played well but lost and it really knocked the wind out the teams (and fans) sails after a good run of 3 wins. Just 4 points from those five games after the Leeds win ultimately cost us our chance to be in the playoff mix in the final game. And finally... Favourite moment of the season Beating Forest away. (Due to the time difference, I was following this game at 1o'clock in the morning, via my iPhone, on a night bus back from Tokyo. Having a consistently refresh a page to keep check on the score going into the last 5 minutes of a game like this with a slender lead is not good for the nerves.) Simply because I think he can do much more than he offered the second half of the season Disastrous performance: Blackburn at home in the Cup. Ended our cup run and sparked poor league run which knackered our play off hopes. Favourite moment: Blackpool away, we had a right good time despite a crap game.
