Can't tell you that, i get haunted by feelings of despair, poverty and shame.....

Ok ok,

Victorian Sheffield, then Edwardian Barnsley.

Well that explains it - you being a foreigner!

If there's one thing this thread tells me, it's that I bloody love the English language - whichever one you speak! 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

So my "type of meal" idea way off then? You would really call a sandwich "dinner"?

I could really stir up the hornet's nest and ask what people call these: -

Soft white baps, and sesame seed soft white baps, the generic term for me is bread roll or cob 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

Are we talking about bread rolls here?

Nah, they're not rolls because they're not roll shaped, rolls are what you'd put a hot dog in. They're bread cakes because they look like cakes.

Simples. :-D
