G STAR RAM
Standing Order is cheap and cheerful, especially midweek when there are deals on (£7-50 for steak and pint etc) Only thing is that it is a good 20 minute walk to the ground although buses and taxis are an option

uttoxram75
Its impossible to walk from the Standing Order to the ground without stopping for a pint on the way.

Jourdan
I went to the Waterfall on Saturday before the Blackpool game. The price relative to the quality of the food was a bit disappointing. To be fair though, you could say this about 95% of pubs.
Duracell
Traffic on the M1 ensured all hopes of a decent meal were destroyed. The Brewery Tap is getting a visit though. 20 minute walks are nothing though, you have to accept that kind of walk to go somewhere decent. VulcanRam
Thanks for the response, but that's too pricey. Me Dad is fed up with the guy who serves the Carvery in Chad, he wants a sit down meal with beer and knifes and forks but he's a tight arse that probably won't spend more than £7.50. McDonalds on the Wyvern. You'll just have to take your own knives, forks and beer.
Ram@Lincoln
McDonalds on the Wyvern. You'll just have to take your own knives, forks and beer. Do Sainsburys still have their little cafe in the Wyvern store? Haven't been in a few years so they might have got rid of it. Quite cheap edible food, with lots of alcohol at hand! westbrom1404
I lived down that way and I used to have to get the purple bus that I think runs to Notts? Rainbow? I used to live down Meadow Lane and I'd ask to get off there. It's opposite. Got one of the indigo buses from the station to Chaddestden Lane. Being in that bus station felt like I was going to go on holiday to somewhere nice and sunny, big airport look to it. Then I saw the bus was going to Nottingham.... PrivateDerby
Where's the nearest chippy to the station nowadays? I feel really let down, upset and deflated when I cross over Railway Terrace and see all the lights off and a for sale sign in the window.
