DcFc Dyycheee Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Sky Sports understands a host of Championship clubs are hunting Stoke City striker Mamady Sidibe. The 32-year-old Mali international has been beset by injury problems in recent years. Sidibe has suffered two torn Achilles tendons and a dislocated knee cap which has meant he has not played since August 2010. Stoke have stuck with Sidibe as Pulis is a huge fan of the former Gillingham striker. Now fully fit, Sibibe was left out of Stoke's 25-man Premier League squad and he is subsequently looking for a loan move. Sky Sports understands Sheffield Wednesday, Leeds, Barnsley and Derby are all keen on taking him. - [url=http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11696/8071773/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter]http://www1.skysport..._medium=twitter
Mary Hindge Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Wouldn't be the worse signing, but I would imagine alot ppl on here going absolutely ape ****.
ram1884 Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 he'd fit in with our ''long ball game'' that we are supposedly playing, according to our friends down the road!!! 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />
Animal is a Ram Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Seems to me the opposite of what we have signed already.. old, big, strong. He does have injury prone though..
CumbrianRam Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Hmm, hasn't played in 25 months, 30+ no thanks!
WorksopRam Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Not a fan of loans, unless it really adds something to the team, which i dont think he would.
SK47 Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Personally i think in this league he would be a good signing, especially if anything happend to sammon, he would add a different dimension in the final third, look at buxton and keogh, they have techinical capabilitys of shoe lace but because there big and strong, in the oppositions box there a threat when they manage to get up there, so why not have a big striker on board to add that extra edge for our attack. i think it would work.
PrivateDerby Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 It's really hard not to like Sidibe, which is probably why Pubelis has kept him for so long, flying him here there and everywhere hoping he'd get better. He is pretty much the opposite of the modern day footballer he lives in Meir ffs! I like Mama but don't think he'd improve us.
randombc Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Can't see us being after him, has only scored 40 odd professional goals in his whole career which is crap! Also, we have Sammon to do that job, and I think he's doing a better job than what Sidibe can do, he quick, strong, energetic and good with the ball at his feet. So thanks but no thanks
Dimmu Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 I think he's injury prone enough for us. Get in!
ChaddesdenRam Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Big target man on loan worked once upon a time. I guess most of you guys remember when we had Kuqi as a target man with commons, bueno and cywka behind. when they were in form we couldn't be beaten by anyone in the championship. However from what I have seen Sammon can hold the ball up and run the channels very well, do we need a big unit to aim at???? plus we have already have ward, Sammon, Robinson, Tyson, Bennett perhaps don't shoot me down Doyle, he is scoring and looks more confident.
needles Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 If fit, he's a proper handful. Never gonna happen. Probably shouldn't either.

jagerbob Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Does anyone else think he would have been our option 3 or 4, had we not got our first choice of Sammon into the club. Surely even lazy journalists, realise their tip offs, arent really valid anymore once said club spends over a million on a striker!
mcsilks Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Career games: 319 Career goals: 41 Games to goals ratio: 7.7 Previous clubs: Swansea, Gillingham, Stoke We'd better sign him up before the bigger clubs realise he's on the market.

Nijul_cluff Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Would you play keogh up front? No because he is a Defender!
