Understand that and hope LC and DD are playing with the fans. But starting to get a little nervous that nobody else is being linked.

Got the impression from LC last night Gregory wasn't top target, now both DD and LC moaning about Wednesday. How is the nobody else out there?

Was happy to see this until, Leigh Curtis dropped his tweet just. He's gone from saying its unlikely to blimey Weds are hard to deal with. With Wolves not landing their striker either, we may be a long way down our list.

True but how many deadline days have we smashed? Not since Mac 1 believe. Even Rowett we got gazumped on Lookman and missed out on Grosicki who later signed for Hull and was class. I reckon we'll get Gregory or some old codger of that nature and that'll be it. Restrictions lifted for next season when the league will be three times as tough.

Fair point. I’d class Smith as an upgrade or on par. Gregory not so much, thus my displeasure.

Reckon we could bring in a decent defender for £1m. Obviously I’d be wanting £4.5m minimum for Cash. Just think this season is there for the taking rather than selling Cash in the summer and having to start again.

I think the only way signing Gregory is acceptable is if it allows us to sign a midfielder as well. Or if it’s Gregory or nobody. We should’ve sold Cashin and invested properly.
