I know, I don't like it any more than you do but I think he's the best option down that side in the formation Warne will go for.

With the players we have I'd personally be sticking with 4 at the back as we haven't really got wing backs.

 

I think 3 at the back is probably here to stay... with that in mind:

I'd have kept the same side as last week too... so no complaints from me. Hopefully they've been on shooting practice in the week and we can convert a couple more chances! COYR 🐑

Just been having a quick look at who's out of contract, who could be available for loan etc. for next season (in positions we need most). I've only took the info from Transfermarkt... so may not be 100% accurate!

The defence (other than Cashin) looks like it'll need rebuilding. Curtis Nelson (Blackpool), Danny Batth (Sunderland) and Harlee Dean (Birmingham) are all showing as being available in the summer.

Wing-backs: Ali Koiki (Northampton)... been linked last summer and had another strong season in L2. Dexter Lembikisa at Wolves could be a loan option. Highly rated there and been linked with Burton already.

Strikers: The big area! Goals win games and other than Didzy (assuming we sign him up for another year) we still struggle. Sam Smith (Cambridge) consistently scores in a bang average team... the right age and I think could be a shrewd signing if we can get him some decent service. Tyler Walker (Coventry) is out of contract too... never really done it in the Championship but has good L1 scoring stats when he's been out on loan. Daniel Jebbison (Sheff Utd) would also be a solid loan option.

Still level on points with Bolton in 6th. It's far from over yet. Just need to be more clinical with our chances.

In the wrong position again! Sibbo should be where Hourihane is, Roberts should be where Sibbo is and Fozzy should be LCB... IMO...

Agreed. If 3 at the back is PWs way forward, we have arguably the 2 best number 10s in the league in Didzy and Sibbo... just need someone who knows where the back of the net is to play ahead of them!

We know what we're getting with Collins at this stage... plenty of effort but with next to no end product... unless he's injured, I don't know why we don't give Dajaune Brown a try.

I agree with you. Him and Didzy are the 2 players that make things happen going forward.

Only other thing it could be (in my head) is a back 4 with Knight and Bird sitting deep and Fozzy pushing on as more of a left winger.
