  1. Whoever won that was pretty much sentencing the other to relegation, then they got 2 goals their play didn't really deserve before the fourth. A lot more riding on it.
  2. If that's our entire budget, better look forward to a weekend in Fleetwood again.
  3. I don't think he's that sort of chairman, without walking around following him all day. I get a feeling he's more of a Pickering who'd hang on to a manager that bit too long like Jim Smith once he's forged a relationship . Fantastic as he was for 5 years, once McClaren left and we were very much in the red with bad buys, 3 more assistant managers and two relegation battles 2 years later, a change should have been made. He didn't want too late his mate go and even offered to pay him to watch games and do nowt.
  4. I'd take him today and was a bit miffed we'd missed out on loan. Pure pace makes a big difference in a team as we've seen previously. Luton will keep him if they drop though.
  5. I don't know. Appears that Forest have turned their pitch into the Sahara desert in an attempt to slow things down and allow 300 million quids worth of players the chance to catch up. Positively Cambridge even outside League 1.
  6. He had a tendency to start every game like a bull in a china shop and get get very close to his player without computing. He's actually started to play more how you'd see a sweeper, picking up players rather than man marking which suits him better. It appears he has decent footwork which is always the template to start from if he steps up.
  7. I like him. He has quick thought, finds space and can carry a ball. I don't think the forwards we've had bar Gayle are as quick on the uptake to get in position and he has too slow down. I think he went through a period in 22/23 where he had a great 4 0r 5 weeks after Christmas then inexplicably lost his place to Dobbin, which seemed to effect his play when he came on. For me that seriously hampered our play off bid. Handy to have in the squad.
  8. Bit of a long one mate. In a nutshell, on deadline day Brighton were signing him and sending him out on loan. Derby insisted on having him back but Brighton had already agreed a loan to Blackburn or Ipswich. Derby weren't to chuffed but relented and agreed to Ipswich if we could have Edmundson on a season long. Ipswich said no, so we said no and Brighton agreed to send Cashin back to us for the season but too late in the day.
  9. I know we were very keen on Edmundson last summer and again when Cashin was due to go their on loan after his Brighton move went through. I expect Ipswich to step back in for Cashin if they go up. I believe we're still keen on Edmundson so a makeweight or other fee signing wouldn't surprise.
  10. Could be Pontins at Prestatyn in the 80's. Worst week ever. I still bear the scars. Quite literally -12 stiches from standing on a broken bottle.
  11. 20 million compo and some party poppers. They seem dumb as f*** enough to pay it. How's their 65 thousand stadium coming along.
  12. I should give it a good spray down. God knows how many splayed buttocks have been jammed against those walls when the shower gel gets dropped. Hundreds i'd imagine.
  13. That silicone finish is dreadful. I'm equally shocked
  14. He's quick but seemed quite lazy to get in position when losing the ball, or to collect the ball in space.. His performance against Portsmouth was decent, against Wycombe he was woeful. I'm smelling impact sub and i'm not sure we thought that's what we were getting.
  15. Someone better have a word with Steele then. We is something I'd assume he'd say, questions would be incoming if he said they. We'll see I suppose.
  16. I'd imagine they have a cap based on being to sell 5000 tickets on a match by match basis is a fair bit more lucrative than having them as season tickets. Bit of a gamble if you've not won for 6 games but I imagine most clubs do it..
  17. They just said on the radio he had a contract offer in January he had no interest in signing. Hadn't heard that but they've got it from somewhere.
  18. I believe it was 350k. May have a promotion add on .
  19. The absolutely hate Buchanan. They deserve each other. Krystian's got The Euros, so although he is being made to, he must go on loan for a year somewhere else to secure 30 mins off the sub bench in one match, before joining on a 2 yr deal and immediately giving the physios a constant supply of overtime.
  20. It is Nick Owen. A Derbyshire cricket fan and also a Luton fan Not only is he his only self appointed flagellist in terms of sporting support but also the Machiavellian genius pulling the strings behind Atwells run to UEFA VAR. Those two disallowed goals at Pride Park were just part of the long term plan to bring down their downfall this season. They fell for it as well. Lets hope Jon Moss is the ref for the Burnley match then the aim of relegation and financial ruin will be complete.
  21. However, on 12 March 2013 he missed a pre-match team meal, but claimed he made his own way for the match against Bristol Rovers, only to be informed that he was not in the matchday squad when he was just five minutes away from Bristol.[43] He took to Twitter to put his side of the story across, and an angry Micky Adams responded by saying Burge's tweets were "absolute nonsense and he's going to be disciplined".[44] Burge was suspended for two weeks for breaking the club's "social media guidelines" after club management claimed he refused to apologise for the incident.[45] On 12 April 2013, with three games left of the season, Burge left the club by mutual consent.[46] Club chairman Paul Wildes stated that "this has been a difficult decision for both parties".[47] Vale secured promotion into League One at the end of the 2012–13 season, and users of a single Port Vale fan site voted him one of their three Players of the Season.[48] The actual Player of the Year was Tom Pope, the Player's Player of the Year was Chris Neal. He had a trial with Cheltenham Town in March 2015, and impressed in a reserve game against Plymouth Argyle after being out injured for the season, but the club was unable to offer him a contract, even though his grandad was on the board 😂
  22. He looked good in the away game but their forum were hammering his selection for the Pride Park match. Don't know. I'd take Wing for consistency
  23. It was this one rather than the squad. He had the chance to play in front of 30k and told us to b*******. Now he can.
